I have to watch these videos sideways, peering through my hand because I'm afraid at any moment the synthol is going to reach too high of a pressure and burst from their arms. The man can't even do a pull-up all the way because of that.

And there's also a point where you decide to inject synthol and no one gives a crap about your "muscles" anymore... Of course you have to be a complete dumbfuck to do that...

this guy was quite inspiring, he was close to anorexic in his teen years and then he achieved what he had,
obviously he used steroids (D-Bol and Stanzanol) was proven that he used them both after he died RIP of course died at the age of 23 i think, an unnoticed fatal heart condition that lead to a heart attack in a sauna, probably made worst by using steroids, he had a dream and it turned into a nightmare, shame.

People do this because society pressure's people into believing that being muscular will make you standout/better than the rest. People that inject synthol still have to workout just not as long or as hard as someone would naturally.

I've been lifting for over a year now and i've gained muscle and lost 12 pounds (cardo too) but i still feel like some days i put in so much work and feel like i'm not getting as good of results as other people.

Anyway spring is coming i gotta lose around 10-15 more!

this guy was quite inspiring...

It's not inspiring that he had such terrible body-dysmorphia that he was "anorexic" (it's one thing if he was just skinny and another if he starved himself) and then turned around and used steroids to try and fill some role he thought his peers would admire.

nah i watched a video of him talking about his high school life or whatever,
and it shown pictures of him, he said in the video that he was the smallest in his class and he played WoW too much and everyone kept telling
him that he will never be big and shit, he will always stay small and skinny, he said he would prove em wrong, i can't find the exact video but this will do.

it is meaningless, but some people have confidence issues and it effects them way more than say me who doesn't give a single fuck what anyone thinks lol.

i look to things that will benefit my life, taking offence from an insult(simply a few words that might not be true aimed at me) does not benefit my life in anyway, so why would i take any offence :)

The biggest joke is how all the bodybuilders think big muscles=fighting prowess. Worst thing to do if you want to fight effectively is to do bodybuilding, so the irony is really quite something.

That's also where all the "I'm so big", "you'll never be big", "do you even lift brah" shit comes from, people thinking it somehow equates to how good someone is at fighting.

lol you're sounding really ignorant now or you've just been meeting assholes who lift. First off people lift to look better and get stronger. That has nothing to do with fighting.

The "I'm so big" and " you'll never be big" are people being dicks and trolls.
plz stop generalizing. Do you even lift? Most likely you don't. Until then you can't say everyone who lifts is an ass

Why are they "getting stronger"? Why do they think being big "looks better"? Rhetorical questions.

Yeah, those are "dicks and trolls" and they're "just kidding" kind of like some dude who gets rejected by a girl was "just trolling around and kidding."

when was anyone on here talking about fighting, lol. Fighting is a natural thing, maybe an instinct that every human has?
i don't really see fighting for no reason a trend anymore, more like a sentence in jail, but i don't even need to fight anyway,
if anyone wants to start with me while im out clubbing, il avoid jail and make 1 single phone call and i can get about 100 heads down to my location in just a few minutes
half of them that have already been to jail and wouldn't mind going back lol, i don't need to do shit, knowing violent cunts can be handy at times.
its not that i don't like violent friends its just that i don't like their view on life, fighting? really, what bollocks.

No, we really don't need someone to propagate caving into peer-pressure, taking shortcuts to attain goals, fake tans, and narcissism. Rising to meet a challenge is one thing, but circumventing that challenge in order to obtain a goal that was ultimately set by a group within your peers is not inspiring.

Strength and athletic training is great, for sure, but not the body-building style, bench-press and curl all the time while looking at yourself in the mirror training.

thee amount of roid heads that go gym in this day and age is stupidly high though, even some of the lab produced powder has steroid extracts inside them plus bull testosterone and horse testosterone.
its all made in labs anyway so is that really natural?

They want physiques like Hercules and great Roman warriors, Greek warriors/gods physiques of the ancient times.

Being bulky but able to lift a shitton of weight is a waste of gym time imo.

Why "but" since most of the time you need bodyweight to lift weight? Not saying there isnt many bodyweight x lift ratio but being stronger often comes with growing larger and the 2 feed each other.

Title: Re: Do you even lift brah?
Post by: Xant on March 12, 2014, 10:11:32 pm
"The woodcutter guys" however have real strength. The human body doesn't work like bodybuilders think it does, in individual muscle groups. People who get their muscles with hard physical work use their whole bodies in a natural way; for bodybuilders their muscles tend to work as they are used to, in individual muscle groups. When you're running, it's not just your legs doing the work and rest of the body supporting.  The only real use for bodybuilding is for healing injuries.

Not to mention the fact that bodybuilders tend to run out of breath and strength after just about a minute of extortion, which along with all the other things makes bodybuilders a running joke in bouncer/MMA/boxing/kickboxing/BJJ/etc circles.

Actually, It kinda fixes your back, since I started there, I had much less problems with it. It probably has to do with the fact that body quickly gets used to the stress, thus lessening the pain. Feet are different story though, since my feet are flat as frying pan.

That's BS. There are bodybuilders doing cardio. It's just that many believe it fucks up your progress so they stay clear from it. But in any case they're bodybuilding for looks. Not for sports. (Atleast bodybuilding in general)

Many believe that you will lose muscle by doing cardio which is true to a degree. The body will burn its fat before it will start eating at your muscle. So staying clear of cardio is a precaution bodybuilders take because they are misinformed or fear of losing muscle. I agree with you your statement but when did this WHOLE THREAD BECOME JUST ABOUT BODY BUILDERS?!

Because they do lift for the macho image, which in turn comes from the perceived ability to fight, which the majority of bodybuilders buy into themselves. Just ask any bouncers, the only group that has a bigger ego than bodybuilders are the hockey players.

What I gathered from Berengers posts in this thread is that bodybuilders lift to look like Panos.

Started going to the gym at early age of 15, stopped after few months when my buddy got sick and I was too lazy to go and lift myself. These days doing only cardio.

That is a non-answer. You stop looking after you get your first answer. That is not the right way, young padawan. Again, why do you want a bigger body? What makes bigger better? Fat people are big too, is that just as good as muscled people? If not, why not? And then go a couple metalevels deeper on your next answer, keep asking "why? Why not?" until you cannot answer. Then you may come forth and bring this dilemma to myself, and I will enlighten you, and it will be Good.

everyone has different views on things, different goals, different interests, different ways of looking at certain things and how it looks to them.

if they like having a good physique, why should they not get what they like, doesn't matter how they got it.

if others don't like a good physique and think anyone with a good physique are "my old friends and stupid, and are doing something wrong", what reason to be angry at them, its not your life they are changing,
its their own life, do your own thing, and you will find people with the same interests, ignore the ones who hate, you will live a more happy life.

"that guy over there is huge, what is he would you say? 6 foot 7 and over 130kg of musle?, aha bet he can't do this and that and this and that and so on and on and on..."

whatever this random made up person was saying will never change the mans view on things, he spent over 12 years getting some huge body and i would think he likes it, or else why would he continue training and eating 7 meals a day and getting 8 hours sleep every night and letting it take over his life? maybe because he decided "this is what i want to do, im going to keep doing it"

same with any other person, cardio guy, body weight guy, works at a sawmill guy, endurance guy. they like doing it, they will keep doing it. stick to what you like and respect other peoples interests.

You have 0 experience in lifting. 0 experience talking to the people at the gym and your opinion bias level is over 9000. Enlighten me when you act less like a victim. Sure you may be able to better express yourself in written English more than others, but does that make you a better person at the gym who makes fun of someone "less fit"? I was once big (as in fat) and i didn't enjoy it because 1.) It was harder to breathe and various health conditions were starting to take a toll on me. 2.) It's not socially acceptable today ( i know it's dumb best this one all depends if you give a fuck or not) 3). Low energy

The list goes on and on but the point is do whatever makes you feel good and makes you feel confident.

You have no knowledge of my experience in lifting or my experience in talking to people at the gym. I could just as easily claim the same about you, therefore. How exactly am I acting like a victim? I don't think you know what that word means, maybe you should Google translate to your first language.

You do not need to bodybuild to lose fat, so your points are moot.

Did I ever say cardio is bad? No? Then why the fuck are you bringing it up? I was, of course, wrong to assume that you would possess some basic logic skills, so I thought your tragic weight loss story was about bodybuilding (seeing as that is the thing I've spoken about the whole time).

It takes a special kind of retard to speak down on confirmed information. I guess that explains a lot about you, Kuoin.

So you read up on google that most bodybuilders can't fight for shit? I bet they would whop your ass with one finger while you were laying in the mud crying about "I read on google that you guys can't fight! My body-pillow karate didnt work on you ..."

Yes. I learned a lot about your overweight mother. After I forced you into making ad hominems because you ran out of arguments that is.

i wish i could easily put a voice message on here, would be so much "easier" to say the things i want to post, and would be faster than writing a full paragraph lol.

but come on now, the thread sure has derailed at this point, can't avoid that now, but do we really have to revert to mum jokes?

No, your mother is affecting the orbit of the sun -- she's that large.

I learned a lot about your overweight mother.
atleast you are relevant to the topic Xant but, we all know your a big fan of wrestling ja? you love it when those sweaty oiled greasy men mount each other and perform kinky stunts on stage
while there big smolen erect muscles get pumped with blood and get even bigger yes? running around in small goblin gruds for underwear! GLORIOUS!

I am all for getting back on topic. Was not me who decided to start retarded personal attacks that are nothing but a waste of space. The mum jokes only serve to underline the stupidity of a select few retards who ran out of arguments.

don't think anyone realistically thinks lifting makes you a fighter, there's a reason MMA fighters are not I LIFT BROs. That being said if you want to be a guy who spends all the time in the gym lifting because you like to look in the mirror and feel better than everyone else that's fine :P

Why did you ever post here? This is for lifters or people who know about this subject
I thought this thread was about laughing at people who do senseless things so they look 'good'. Which in my opinion would include 'lifters', but that is up to you.

Lifting is cool, hurts no one. Fighting on the other hand...

Someone posted kangaroo in here. It's cool and very strong animal. But I'll rather let so called fighters (actually we're talking about stupid and aggressive people) to fight an animal that looks less intimidating than kangaroo, let's say 60 kg chimpanzee. Could be a great lesson for "fighters", if they survive it in one piece (which in most cases does not happen).

Fighting hurts people. It's a good thing some people deserve to be hurt.

People do this because society pressure's people into believing that being muscular will make you standout/better than the rest. People that inject synthol still have to workout just not as long or as hard as someone would naturally.

Do you know how synthol works? It's basically oil implant injected to a desired location to make your muscles look bigger (muscle tissue gets swollen). It's not like steroids. Nothing to do with increasing real muscle mass. Possibly have to work out somewhat so all that oil doesn't start leaking everywhere? This shit is like breast implants but for men... Well even worse considering the crap it does to your health... Scarring and other nasty stuff happens...

Roids make it possible to whoop your ass even more since you don't need as much rest as you would naturally to increase muscle mass. It's a common misconception that steroid users just build muscle faster without working out as hard as the natural guy. Just allows them to work even harder and shorten the rest intervals. Still kind of pointless and not so healthy.

Yes go natural or go home! Good nutrition and possibly some supplements (if you don't want to eat chicken salad everyday ) is all you really need.

a guy who can lift wins a mediocre MMA fight means all lifters can have a losing mma record? Im not sure what you are trying to show with your post :D

Not to mention he is trained MMA fighter so isn't just a lifter and has a 10-15 record.

.... My eyes. Neither of those guys have the first clue about technique, timing or footwork.

HAHAHAHAH the ref pushes the winning fighter weakly and that dude not only FALLS OVER but does so clumsily as fuck.

i just sat and watched some old MMA fights, good old tank abbott amongst others and felt like i wanted to post it here because i thought it was 2 funny clips. this place seemed like the most proper place to post it, but im very sorry for my misdeed, henceforth i will request permission from the high lords before posting such outrageous stuff

So there was a debate going on about lifters and them thinking they can fight and you post a video of a guy lifting then fighting and don't expect any kind of reply?

If you plan to post videos that seem to favor one side of the debate but your doing it just cus its funny and nothing to do with the debate then say so when you post? :P but ofc you are just a victim of evil high lords right
