Title: The Long March for NA Freedom

I've been charged with making the diplomacy post for the faction. I'll get to the point and add a little bit of role play for everyone's enjoyment. So... here goes



Seemingly long ago were the burgundy clad armies of Les Chevalier Occitan clashing with the honeyed yellow of the Free Companies of Calradia. The Calradian forum, where diplomats come forth to speak publicly,  have been riddled with claims of the long time adversary, FCC, becoming stronger in their respective territory, claiming new allies and lands... This troubled the Duquessa Arrowaine


By order of the Mighty Duquessa Arrowaine, Les Chevalier Occitan has taken the first step this afternoon in halting the Free Companies enclosing grasp upon further NA soil, as our front line has engaged the enemy.

Occitan_Froot_Loops has spear headed the movement against HG_Guard_Tojo_Hideki army. The village of New Ambeam is also set to be sieged and held for a foothold to push further North by sJimmy.

Today shall mark the long road to Glory for some, and death to many...


Back in the Desert, a gathering of the Southern kingdoms was taking place in the palace parade grounds of New Durquba.

Audible whispers from those assembled showed concern "... is this the right time?", "... do they think they actually have a chance", " they finally did it huh?", "... some of them are good guys, why should we..."

"I know there are those of you who are tired of these tactiques de lâches that the Free Companies employ. So stand with us. Unite against them and we shall all see victory."
The Duquessa's French accent pleaded with a booming voice that trembled the and ispired soul of every Lord and gave goose bumps to every Lady assembled.

The procession of gathered lords ride off into the desert to spread the word; War. The spirit of the South enlivened with the excitement of the days events as troops begin to march from their Castles, Keeps, and Villages. The young men and woman look north, singing the song of their nation and hoping to one day return home victorious.

Your filthy Emperor may send all the conscripts she wants in her bid to conquer all of Nova Calradia but the FREE people of the FREE Companies will never let you enslave the lands! They shall continue to fight against your tyranny with their alliance of the FREE and willing. Your armies may be vast and you may have coerced hordes of once proud peoples to your side... but your conscripts will never break our volunteer soldiers! Come I say! We shall see your bodies pile up outside our walls and we shall offer asylum to those amongst your ranks who are brave enough to escape your tyranny! We shall show everyone that your seemingly endless swarm of troops is unable to gain you victory and then perhaps those who live under your boot-heel will gain the courage to free themselves!

For a moment there, I thought I was still reading part of Inglorious's post. But then again, the phrase could be directed towards FCC and its current state is Strategus.

You may hate us as a result of our war... but our coalition has always been of the free and willing. All who wish to get along with us are able to do so and all who work with us in any fashion are acknowledge as equals. The bodies collected flies while Tojo strolled through the dead, reflecting on the battle he had just won. The victory was deadly for both sides, but God's grace shined upon the FCC this battle. A large crater with bodies and parts strewn around it lay before him, he remembered the sound of the men's screams as they were ripped apart by their own siege machine. Turning away from the horrid sight before him, Tojo looked out to the south where the next wave of Occitan were preparing for another strike on the village. He could only pray reinforcements would arrive in time...

The Mates give their support to the french canadians who sometimes have trouble speaking english. In the name of the lord and savior poutine, Arowaine the duchess of the pixels of the internet, the mates declare war on the FCC and hereby do nothing because we are inactive.

Joe stood on a windy hill top, looking down on a dismal scene. Some distance away, the village of New Ayyike was besieged, encircled by an army whose tents and patrols bore a red banner.

He couldn't make out the heraldry, but he knew that Le Chevaliers Occitans had Ayyike surrounded.

He turned to face his beloved Champion Courser. "Chevaliers," he spat. "The good Cavalieres."

She gave him a worried look. "I don't think either of those are things anymore, Joe."

He mounted her, a single, fluid motion. "Lies," he said, "Evil, Hospitaller rumors. Don't let those EU vassal scum put lies into your head like that."

They galloped back to the rest of Joe's army, and after deliberating with his subordinates, decided that now would be the best time to reinforce Ayyike.

Joe lead his army towards the Occitanian fortifications at a brisk trot, in single file. He had so many horses that most of his men were able to ride on two horses at once, which doubled their rate of movement.

The train of mounted soldiers moved steadily towards the enemy's perimeter. Tents and barricades loomed before them, and red banners flew.

Then, suddenly, they were amongst them.

Men with twirly mustaches in bright chainmail stood in small groups on either side of Joe's still-moving army, but none made a move to intercept them. The air was filled with the enemy's strange language.

Champion Courser whispered. "What are they saying? Why aren't they stopping us?"

"I do not know, my love," Joe hissed back. "They're speaking Spanish, and so are likely busy with their quesadillas."

Her eyes widened, but her face steeled itself with new resolve. She continued to weave through clumps of soldiers. "Remember the Maine," she said.

Joe's gaze took in the armored men. They all seemed busy eating their strange, flat sandwiches to pay Joe's 400 strong army any attention. Their mustaches were gooey with cheese. Joe and company managed to get inside the village without any trouble.

What he found shocked him.

More of the Spanish dogs. They filled every crack and crevice of the small village, intermingled with FCC soldiers.

Kesh approached, smiling. "Joe," she said, "Glad to see you could make it." She followed his worried gaze. "Don't worry about them, they're just waiting to besiege us after the upcoming battle."

"I see. They were all to busy with their panini's to bother us outside." He dismounted and saluted his leader. "Remember the Maine!"

"Yeah, Joe. We'll make them suffer for, whatever that means."

The only thing more surprising is how hard they fought to not be considered Chaos members when we were taking the chaos fiefs.

I fought pretty hard when I messaged Kesh on steam and told him that The Mates were a separate faction from CHAOS and that you shouldn't always consider a single action to be a joint effort between both of us in some conspiracy against you. He responded to that by saying okay.

But what does that have to do with me being in Chaos? I'm pretty sure the only french canadian clan who sometimes has trouble speaking english is occitan.

As the Sun eclipsed over the low mountains on the horizon, burning funeral pyres could be seen dotting the land like fireflies. The smoke from the burning casualties of war rose to the sky and then moved westward with the winds, raining ashes as it traveled. Another day of fighting, another victory for Ayyike. Tojo had not been present for the battle as he was still recovering from previous one. He could've fought back to back in his prime, but those years were long behind him. A piece of ash from one of the pyres gently floated in through his window where he now watched the sunset. It landed softly in his open palm, bringing it closer to his face he examined it thinking of the Occitan who besieged his village. "If they bring more men, we shall provide them more ashes", he said to himself. After one last look at the ashes in his palm he took a deep breath and blew them out the window back into the night sky.

Good fights - lot of good mercs on both sides, a couple of the battles were really close down to the wire.

P.S. I wish we actually had people that ride horses merc for us - still have exactly the same 150 +3 mameluke horses I started off with before my battle started.

Mamelukes are too slow, large war horses are a good mix of armor and charge for 42 speed (at champion). 

Also gotta say it was a lot of really close and hard fought battles yesterday (besides the maeday battle, which we had way more troops), pretty evenly matched throughout all of them. 

It is certainly more fun to steam roll the enemy, but close fought battles where every kill and every foot of progression is a hard fought victory, is a lot of fun too.

The forward division and the scouts may have been crushed, yes this may be true. But, the ride has just begun for many of us in both FCC and LCO.

In short, many people are just beginning to wake up from their slumbers due to no war-like activity that would affect them directly, and have begun to finally move towards the north. I myself have just moved my atrophied body from it's manor in Tillsmal... seemingly the farthest village from the fighting currently happening. Sadly.

Congratulations in winning first of many skirmishes. We shall again test each others steel soon my friends.

I personally want both the FCC and LCO's long standing grudge war to be over after this. No matter who wins, at the end lets strive to be respectful to one another so both sides can finally bury the hatchet.
Help make the Fifth Era of Strategus include an alliance between Smooth, Arowaine, Daruvian and Kesh to let them unite so we may show the true power of superior NA drama against our evil EU overlords. Only these four have the power to lead us all into a Golden Era of Trolling.

We'll get Kesh to lead the -1 squad so Badoon, rest of Frisia, Kaoklai, Penguin, Matey, Adeyrn and Kesh can -10 every player that posts against us.
Arowaine will be in charge of diplomacy.
Daruvian is in charge of propaganda campaigns.
King Smoothrich.
Partyboy is our Lord and Savior, <3 BIRD CLAN.
