Read the whole other thread instead of downvoting Kafein. I've posted many mods and a website that includes most of the best mods in categories.

IIRC TES on-line is being developed by a new development house, Bethesda Online.  Bethesda themselves announced just the other day that work on Skyrim has now ceased and they are moving on to new projects, considering TES on-line has been in development for a while i would infer that they will continue to work on other games including traditional TES games.

I see no reason to stop a very successful series simply because there is an MMo version, PC gaming is still a smaller market than console gaming so why would they stop producing for them.

Well, that's not right I guess. I heard that ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) won't be developed and isn't made by Bethesda. I guess and many other people too, if Bethesda Game Studios will stop producing new The Elder Scrolls, they would loose their best getting-money game (hope u know what I mean :) )

Normally I just stick armormods in Skyrim and Oblivion. The ammount of detail that modders just put into them is off the hoooooooook.
Example:

With the occasional skill bufff and increase the fun with magic.

TES online imo is at the hands of some nameless devcompany. TES online is their first game and oh boy does it seem that they try to make it as generic MMO as humany possible.

Dawnguard and especially Dragonborn are nice DLC's. Hearthfire just lets you build houses (when you can do that with mods). Most mods may require DG and/or DB, but none will require HF for obvious reasons.

If you are going to start a new game, you could try Duke Patricks - Archery And Heavy Weapons Combat (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3646). It's amazing. It makes combat pretty similar to Warband (in terms of speed bonus, chamber-blocking, feinting), and also sets stagger/knockdown force dependent on actors' strength and size. The major difficulty of this mod is that you have to time your attacks and blocks, because, if you spam like in vanilla Skyrim, you run out of stamina with a few swings and can't block. You have to read the instructions thoroughly (most important thing is to not install it until you have left the tutorial cave and you're out in the world). You can't use many "script-heavy" mods, since DP uses a lot already, and the installation document has a paragraph about what shouldn't be touched with other mods. Even though script lag is a bitch, it's the most complex overhaul I've ever played, and I hadn't had so much fun with this game before.

I found a realistic sword replacer, but it can cause CTD's (at least with Immersive Patrols): http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20036

New must-have mod for audio: Sound Propagation Overhaul (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33740).

My post copied from the other thread, should have posted it here really lol.

I've tried many combinations of mods each time I've decided to play Skyrim again. This time around I've chosen SkyRe as my main 'overhaul' and I've got to say it's easily one of the best I've used. It changes alot of things in the game, but luckily only the bad things, SkyRe improves so many of the bad parts of the game that it feels great to play. The perk tree and combat are alot better, even with my orcish heavy armour + bonuses to armour rating enemies can still really hurt me. With SkyRe I am using Immersive Weapons, Immersive Armours, Immersive creatures, pretty sure you can find esp's for them all that make them compatible with SkyRe and also with crafting, I can't exactly remember if they were on the actual mod nexus pages or on another nexus post, but it wont be hard to find them.

WARZONES: Civil Unrest is another mod I am using, for me it works flawlessly with the previous mods I mentioned and I have no crashes or bugs so far. Yesterday I came across a battle with 100+ combatants in, I ran in to help the guys friendly to me, it was majorly fun especially considering the fact that a strong enemy could kill me in a few hits so I really had to be careful, think I quick loaded at least a few times because of getting out numbered and owned.

Finally to make the game look nicer I use Skyrim HD, Climates of Tamriel and Realistic Lighting Overhaul, the game is alot nicer to look at than before. Also I use Alternate Start: Live another Life mod, if you've played through the vanilla intro once you should get this mod, it puts you into the game far quicker and you can choose different things that will have an effect on your gameplay, for example my character is an Orc, it let me choose to start in an Orc camp and start my travels from there with Orc gear.

So Listed:

SkyRe
Immersive Weapons
Immersive Armour
Immersive Creatures
Alternate Start: Live another Life
WARZONES: Civil Unrest
Skyrim HD
Climates of Tamriel
Realistic Lighting Overhaul

They're the main ones I can think of right now and I am having absolutely 0 crashes and bugs so far. If you experience bugs and crashes with this mod list then you are probably using the wrong compatibility files for one or more of the mods. Or you have the loadout order of the mods set incorrectly. This is using all the DLC's too.

Favourite mod was 'smash locks' mod.  I always hated if you were some badass barbarian warrior you had to get down and start fiddeling with a lockpick just to get in to a chest or through a door.  Y U NO SMASHHHH

Dragonborn felt sorta laking imo. Huge new chunk of land and around 8 quests. The questline just felt extremely short to me, but suprisingly entertaining from the visualspart. Dawnguard was pretty cool yea.

Hearthfire was lame imo. But kudos to Bethesda for one certain thing about it. That it sticked to one thing only and that was housebuilding. Nothing else. You know, occasionally a shithead gamecompany releases a DLC for the game that you have. Having mainly some lame content nobody gives a crap about. But you  buy it anyway cause they added mybe some cool minor thing or game feature you want really badly. But thats just extremely mean. If you werent into housebuildingthing in skyrim and you didnt buy it, thats cool, you didnt miss much.

Haha thanks! I use Climates of Tamriel too, and some other praphic mods like lush Green and Trees or Realistic lighting and colpurs.
But my main problem there is: I dunno whether they run :-\
I suscribed them at the Steam workshop and at NMM and my Skyrim Launcher they are activated too but as I said I don't know whether they run.

Am I the only on here who is excited for TESO? From the previews I've seen it looks nothing like a generic mmo.

I think most of us think that ESO cant be like a TES, TES was/is/are games where you also can enjoy the emptyness, that you play alone, without noobs or pros or whateva. Also Also the founders ar not the same.

If you are going to start a new game, you could try Duke Patricks - Archery And Heavy Weapons Combat

Patoson, would you be so kind to explain how to install that mod step by step.
I'm suffering from heavy form of computer lameness, so after I've read "Read me" file things only became worse
Now I'm too afraid to install dat monster! :)

And if you'll find the time, pls, advise, did "Duke Patrick's..." compatible with "Hypothermia" (or how this mod called) and "Basic needs".
Want to play Skyrim again, but just can't do it with vanilla combat system. Duel/Deadly combat mods didn't change combat system at all for me, unfortunatly :(
Very eager to try "Duke's Patrick" mod but just too adraid of the wallz of text in "Readme" file (and pile of other files too) :)

Just install it, configure the file "aadpcombat" with a text editor to your liking, change Skyrim.ini values and play, that's all. If you change anything in "aadpcombat", you have to enter "bat aadpcombat" in console once you run the game, wait a minute and save the game for the changes to take place.

Deadly Combat (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5485//?)'s new version was just released and is even better. MCM menu and no more polestagger-kind-of-stagger.

Thanks for the answer. I've installed that monster after your message actually. You give me courage! :)
All wasn't that hard indeed :) Do not mess with "aadcombat" yet. Succesfully (i hope) installed "Frostfall", "Basic needs" and "Smithing+Enchanting+Speech" parts of "ACE" along with Duke's mod. Crossing fingers they won't have any conflict between each other :)

They say it's like "the fourth DLC". Huge new area with lots of quests and good voice-acting. I have installed it but I haven't figured out how to get there yet.

I've played it for like 30 minutes. So far it's decent enough, though the map doesn't seem particurarily inspired.

I had to go there because my Dawnguard DLC questline demanded me to go there to find some bits for a crossbow. It's a bit peculiar.

How does Duke Patrick's work for you? I've tried it again a couple of times recently and I still get script lag in the form of me or the enemies dying after 1 or 2 seconds, which is a pain in the ass.

I installed it today and played 5 hours in a row. It's really great!! Quests are awesome and not always the same. To your I didnt get there yet, i maybe can help you by saying that you have to go to Riften and search a man who's name is something like 'Jalasmar' or so (sry but you will find him). He  is an old man with beggar stuff, but if you don't play Skyrim in english, you will figure him out very fast. I hope I could help You and wish You a great time (I had great 5 hours today and all together the mod shall add 20-40 new hours) and lots of fun! BTW, the landscapes are just awesome <3

Duke Patrick's crashes my game constantly. It seems to have a lot of issues for a lot of people.

I love Duel - Combat Realism though, paired with the melee ACE module.
