Title: Update EU DTV & resurrect EU_7 [SOLVED]
Post by: Patoson on March 07, 2013, 03:41:46 pm: NA_7 has ragdoll hit soak and bots blocking in all directions, while EU_7 does not and is outdated. Jesus, it still has polestagger! Block+V nudge sends people flying (if the nudged is attacking) while this doesn't happen in the other game-modes. You can still spin with stab or overhead no matter the weight/length of the weapon. It's too outdated.

Update EU DTV, please!

Also, it's night time in every map in EU_7. :?

Post by: Bjarky on March 07, 2013, 03:49:25 pm: Yeah pretty much agree on that, something seems off with eu_7, the performance ingame feels glitchy, animations seems cut off sometimes so u dont always see your own or the bots attack/block animations, rubberbanding is also a problem.
Wich are some of the reasons why i stick to HRE_dtv (well and i can admin there *smirk*).

I asked plenty of times, read about it and discussed it. I still have no clue. What is polestagger?

I know it's historical, but still not having understood what it is makes me go mad.

Has there ever been a statement from the devs about the outdated european DTV and why it isn't possible to give us the same version that's running on NA7 after over a year of waiting? What about the HRE guys? Couldn't they update their DTV server or contact the devs about it?

Couldn't we at least get directional blocking like in NA? It's just a freaking server setting and doesn't need an update, right?

edit: So, after reading the whole thread... the problem is the older WSE version running on euro dtv, and that chadz hasn't decided to update it to WSE2 (for whatever reason)? Is that about right? Uhm... has anyone asked chadz what the problem is?

I am in absolutely no position to either tell you the reasons why cmp doesn't allow wse2 for other servers, nor am i the one to talk to when there is a problem with the server. Neither is shik. We were only testing a new map.

iirc what Paul said, only chadz could release a patch upgrading EU7 to WSE2 or something along those lines, and something was keeping him from doing so, don't know what.

Ok great, you could've told me that right then. That "Douchebaggery" is only the truth and I felt like posting it, because this thread has been around forever and nobody responsible gives a shit. How am I supposed to know what you are/aren't in the position for, if you don't tell me?

I was kinda busy watching people how they abused the map that i made. To fix some spots you know, as well as watching the bots and how they reacted to my AI meshes.

It's using WSE2 and it's not lagging anymore, bots block every direction, dead bodies soak damage (phew!) etc.
