EU7 has been dead for a while now afaik.

Has there ever been a statement from the devs about the outdated european DTV and why it isn't possible to give us the same version that's running on NA7 after over a year of waiting? What about the HRE guys? Couldn't they update their DTV server or contact the devs about it?

Couldn't we at least get directional blocking like in NA? It's just a freaking server setting and doesn't need an update, right?


edit: So, after reading the whole thread... the problem is the older WSE version running on euro dtv, and that chadz hasn't decided to update it to WSE2 (for whatever reason)? Is that about right? Uhm... has anyone asked chadz what the problem is?

I asked Fips about it on the HRE server. All he said was that WSE2 is not available to them. Then he kept ignoring me, when I wanted to know why it isn't available, and if it isn't at least possible to enable blocking directions.

Shik was there too, but didn't have anything to say about it, apparently.

I am in absolutely no position to either tell you the reasons why cmp doesn't allow wse2 for other servers, nor am i the one to talk to when there is a problem with the server. Neither is shik. We were only testing a new map.

iirc what Paul said, only chadz could release a patch upgrading EU7 to WSE2 or something along those lines, and something was keeping him from doing so, don't know what.

I was kinda busy watching people how they abused the map that i made. To fix some spots you know, as well as watching the bots and how they reacted to my AI meshes.
