I can imagine arguments either way, but I'd like to hear people's thoughts as to why we even allow teamwounding. I mean, it's possible to set the servers to 0% friendly fire, no?
I understand that the possibility of hurting your teammates (accidentally) creates tactically interesting situations - you can't mindlessly spam opponents en-mass without risking taking out your friends. That's a good thing, I think. But, is that really worth all the grief? It opens the door to an endless amount of immaturity. I mean, the forum has a whole section dedicated to getting children in trouble for this nonsense.
I don't have an answer. Just interested in everyone's thoughts on the matter.

I'm glad it's there. I don't mind a little griefing to prevent mindless spam walls. Not to mention it often weeds out griefers and removes them or teaches them to not grief.
-
I'd imagine that the end result of FF-off would be large shield users holding their RMD while glaives, longspears, pikes, and some greatswords cut indiscriminate swathes right through teammates without giving a fuck.

ff on is a must imo, forces ppl to be cautious and not just swing around like cavemens on crack.
-
I think that ff is the reason why iv got (arguable) better at this mod in the first place. Iv always been a messy player in Warband and ever since playing here iv learned to be more patient and certain of my strikes. I still teamhit on occasion by mistake or due to drinking but i always say sorry an try do better. And u said urself if it was turned off it would be a spam fest and i already hate glaive spammers xD
Kind Regards MadScotsman

Just start reflecting the damage to the teamattacker instead of the other player and all of our problems will be solved

In native its awful enough that horses cant teambump. in crpg its amazing, and realistic after all. players usually have to be careful, but with a full server there will always be one or 2 teamhits. often many more. must live with it, but I would never turn it off. :)

Set ff to 0% and ill buy a flamberge and randomly swing behind my teammates, kill all my enemy's

I played on a native server that experimented with FF off in early Warband.
What you end up with is an amorphous blob with twenty-odd arms all wielding various weapons, with archers from both teams blindly firing into the mess. It isn't very fun.

1 word....
Realism

Sorry but they won't. You will just get a new griefing style of getting into your teammates swings and shots on purpose. The system is fine as is.
The "M", always press it.

The "M", always press it.
Well, if you guys wanted us to always press it, why make it optional?
I guess, pondering it further, I just wonder if there are other more threatening drawbacks than a temporary ban, like an XP or gold penalty or something.

It has to be, but i wish it was reflected to the team hitter. Sadly community wouldn't approve, but i'd like to know what would be wrong with it: you team hit, you pay. And don't talk about "realism" or whatever, i please ask you to find good reasons why the reflected team hit isn't fair or enjoyable. also people would pay more attention.

Turning friendly fire off in pretty much any multiplayer game typically leads to spammation.
-
Keep ff and nerf ban requests

Because it stuns the person you hit, and stuns you as well when you take the damage.
It's fine the way it is, I never liked guys that gave reflective FF damage. Try not to hit teammates, but sometimes shit happens.
It's perfect the way it is.

:/ i'm sorry but still i can't find any good reasons in your answer.

Because instead of just your teammate getting stunned, you both get stunned. This hurts your team much more than if just the guy who got hit gets stunned...

yes i understand, but stun is not equal to 50% of my hps lost because someone had to do kills with his bardiche or flamberge or whatever.
