HACKED

What? I dont understand...

If somebody teamwounds your horse and you are a horse archer, the M should do an automatic 3/5.
-
to start, it should just automatically record teamwounds. No more manual M pressing.

No.

It'd make the game unplayable and most people would just hide or play solo to make sure they don't get kicked.
You usually get more than 5 teamhits on a whole map (it doesn't get reset every round), sometimes small ones (1-2 damage) or because your attack went through an enemy's corpse or bullshit like this. Recording it would be stupid.
-
As it stands right now, punishment for teamkill is equal to 1hp team attack.
I propose that, if you get TK'd and press M, it should counts as 2 team attacks.

Accidentally hitting someone for 2 damage and teamkilling them doesn't necessarily seem worse than accidentally hitting them for 50 damage and not teamkilling them.
If anything, it should be an automated system based on damage done, with escalating penalty if you keep doing damage.
Like hitting someone once for 20 damage = 20 "griefer points".
Hitting them a second time for 20 more damage = 40 more griefer points
Hitting them a third time for 20 more damage = 60 more griefer points
The escalation resets back to 1:1 if you go a few minutes without hitting anyone.
Once you hit some ceiling you're auto-banned for an hour.
This is roughly what Planetside did and it worked great.

An automated system is bad for 3 reasons :
-Swings go through dead people and you can't do anything to prevent TK when this happens.
-People are extremely stupid and often put themselves into situations where they get TKed. Like those moving right in front of someone right before he swings / shoots, or go behind someone who's destroying a door with a 2h / polearm (and I do see lots of people doing this). It's not always the TKer's fault.
-This could actually lead to more griefing since some trolls would probably put themselves into situations where they get TKed to get someone they don't like banned (and not only kicked like now).

Remove the M function alltogether... most abused ability in the game. if your truly being attack admins work fine. tje m function is s joke and makes admins lazy cunts..

If you teamkill the horse of a friendly horse archer/HX you should be rewarded with extra multi imo.

some idiots coming inside hit and when died - press M.is it my trouble if he come under sword?it his trouble.
-
I've never seen anyone "M report" kicked that didn't deserve it. Anyone who says otherwise just wants their ability to grief their team returned to them.
I'm going to say no on the increased penalty for TK's over team wounds. Also no to automatic reports. Too many reasons for details.
Though the ability to press M multiple times for multiple hits should be queued so that when a player hits you 3 times in a row, you don't get limited to only 1 M report because it happened faster than you could hit M 3 times.

Clearly you've never played Planetside. Automated system is BEST mechanic.
Tw'ing once or twice is not going to get you auto-tempbanned. Repeated stupidity or intention TW'ing WILL. The points dissipate over time, so if you accidentally make some mistakes you know to be more careful for awhile, while your griefer points go down
And you are wrong on your 3rd point as well. AUTO-PUNISH + forgive system is best you can ask for. So you do swing thru a dead guy and hit your teammate. He could press M and forgive the griefer points you just got if he feels you were not being careless or at fault.

It should be based on damage, not number of hits.

No, this.

I wouldn't like to see the penalty increased, but perhaps making the road to that penalty shorter would help.
I think the standard ideom of 3 strikes and you're out would work well. Because, honestly - most of us who play regularly don't report unless the tw is really, really stupid or annoying. Christ, I've been tw'd 5 times upon the fall of a seige tower's bridge before and not 'M'd once. And there are others like me, I know.
But some dipshit with a 2 hander swinging hell-mell side to side at the flag, tearing apart his buddies as well as the enemy? That. Shit. Must. End. And I think dropping the /5 strikes to /3 would help.

Uh so if you couch some peasant because he decided to commit suicide by jumping infront of your lance you get instantly banned?

Two peasants, and a little bit more damage would be needed to get kicked from server. Although I would like to see 1 hour ban as punishment.
Peasants have between 35 and 50 HP, and they aren't fast enough to come out of nowhere despite wearing light armor.
Biggest problem with TAs are strength dudes who don't give a damn about their surrounding and cav who have high riding and never slow down to avoid damaging teammates. Also pikemen, since they deal super high damage to anyone and love to stab "through" their teammates.

What he/she said.
It has always bugged me that if a strenght build starts tking me, he kills me in two hits and I can only report him once or twice depending on how quickly he hit me on those two hits.
Meanwhile, as an agi build trying to defend myself, I easily have to hit him over 10 times and over to dispose of him giving him plenty of room to 5/5 me and get me kicked even though he's the one that was being a huge dick.
