not bad for a first map, but im worried about the single route bridge.  you might have to make that river very shallow for the map to work.

the bridge looks like its stretched too much, perhaps use modular bridge instead?

So you think the bridge is too long, and is/might be too dangerous to even cross?

Looks nice, Frug, but just as obitus said, the single route doesn't seem like a good idea, maybe add a smaller bridge leading to and up the cliffs from the village?

Updated the Overhead view picture.

On both ends of the river you can get up either side of the bank, plus there are walkways that you can get on from under the bridge and from the village/garden house.

As I don't mind they look, trees are killing performance so people playing on on shitty PC, or laptop (like me ) suffers from FPS drops. Keeping number of trees as minimum as you can get would be really appreciated!

I wondered if trees would be a problem for lower-end computers, but I had no way of testing my map on a worse computer than mine.

I can easily delete some trees, but that imo makes the map look bland. Maybe someone can download it and test it on a lower-end computer and tell me how bad it is?

Took me a while to figure out the OP LOL!

First screenshot looked very similar to an existing map and I thought.. that's a lot of maps!  :P

OHH right, they're zoomed in parts.  Still in the Christmas spirit I guess.

Would it be possible for you to use two of those bridges in place of one stretched-out bridge?  Might look a lot better.

That bridge is actually made out of 3 bridge pieces

Crank your settings up next time for the screens, low fps doesn't matter for screenshots. It looks nice, though its hard to tell due to the crappy looking trees. Might be a bit of a campfest, but if those arrows on the far left and far right mean crossings it should be okay. Might even see some tactics here, instead of the random charging.

Updated all screenshots.

Yes, the arrows on the overhead view picture are all ways you can get on the other side of the river.

Awesome would be better to have some chokepoint based maps rather than the current uphill shite

Looks incredibly unsuitable for cavalry.  Horse archers, at least.

I like the forgotten house and the village there.  :D
And overall the forest theme.
But the map is way too performance heavy and making that big choke point in center of the map doesn't work well. And just provides unwanted camping in the map. Also the wooden ways next to stone bridge doesn't fit for the rest of the map either.
I noticed some invalid items on the map, which comes if you make the map with another mod copy than latest crpg version.

As i understood, this is your very first map done (which is done very good afterall) and i want to see you doing more maps with lighter performance in mind.

i am pretty sure this map will cause a massive amount of lag

Took out 40+ trees and added a couple extra things, maybe it will run better now!

The map looks to be still heavy for performance.
But also such a strong choke point in the center of map just turn the map in to a camping fest. You can remember what it was with Mountain Warfare map or with earlier versions of bridge maps. It just doesn't work. However if the bridge is alternative way to flank the enemy it can work, but not as main way.

Big Sable Lighthouse:

- please set the other 2 motf entry points (I'm not sure if the game still uses all of them meaning if it's not the one you set it will spawn randomly)
- move the invisible walls infront of the fences, people will jump over them and might get completely stuck if you don't

Other than that, there is one major issue, though: On team gets an insane camping spot at the houses whereas the other team only has a wooden wall to protect themselves. Might not be that big of a deal, since it's such a small map, but still you should think about how to balance this out. Either move the houses, move one spawn closer to the house or the other one away so in the end, both teams can make it to the houses in about the same time. Or anything, you'll think of something =D

Do I need to add 2 more flags, or can I just throw them all in the same spot? (Doesn't matter too much, I could easily find more places to put 'em.)

I was also pretty sure I made the walls close enough to the fences that you couldn't get over them, or even on top of them, but I'll make sure. I also vaguely remember putting them behind the fence to prevent rearing horses while riding near the fences.

I'll also spend some time thinking of how to make camping a less of a problem.

You can just place them right next to each other. I'm just afraid they will spawn randomly on the map and maybe behind some invisible walls if you don't (Again, not sure, just being safe here) =P

Well, some of them were quite a distance behind the fences. But, since the fence prop is a pretty straight line it should be easy to place them right on top of each other^^

I added the other two MotF entry points, and fixed the walls so you can't get stuck behind the fences. (Wow, I really did do a poor job placing them.)

I didn't do anything about the possible camping spot, but I can change it if you really think it will be bad.

New file is uploaded on the nexus.

Hm, i don't like it, but i guess we can wait what'll happen when it's on the server.
