Should be able to check for changed crosshair settings etc.. Right? :)
In the past I believe it wasn't implemented because it was too easy to workaround/hack by players.
I know I'm saying this at a bad time for ranged, but such change would have to come with huge buffs me thinks. (And I will get hit myself by such change.)

Yeah good suggestion....give us megadmg so we can instakill everyone, but take every chance to aim properly
Why do people not understand that aiming in a game on a computer can't really be compared to aiming in real life?
Of course you can more or less get a feeling by remembering where your reticule has been, you can even place some tape on your monitor where your reticule is/was, but still it isn't the same.
In real life you have a body and you have your eyes and you have (or at least should have) a feeling for your body, environment etc. In a game all these things don't work the same thus you'll most of the time shoot into the direction of your target hoping that it might hit out of luck.
Stop the goddamn everyday nerf request for classes that can kill your poor 2h character.
-
If you do this you're going to see someone making a program which draws a red dot where your crosshair used to be. It's possible - programs like Mumble and Fraps draw on games already - so it's gonna happen.
One more cheat to detect.
-
You dont even need a program for that, just mark the middle of your monitor...

Haha that is real haxoring :D. Really hard to detect
-
OR there could be a function where when ANY ranged class spawns, they instantly take 500 blunt damage.
I shouldn't have to even tell you how ludicrous you suggesting this now is.

Sounds good, but when I receive such high blunt damage I want some blowback so I have fun flying over the battlefield :D

No, impossible to detect

Pfft. Just make 24:7 video footage of your screen with an external video camera a requirement to play the mod!

I'm not for this. Keep archery as it is right now.
-
Silly. It'll either be really easy to put back in or all the serious archers will but a small sticker on the screen.
In either case. It's not even necessary in my opinion. What I would love though, is the "kneel" thingy from Vikingr that would enhance archers aim but would make the completely stationary and would take a while to get up.
-
In Vikingr you can now move while crouched, but that is not really needed.
In M&M you cannot move but look around. It is changing the aim a bit.
But removing the crosshair wouldnt be nice imo. If you do that I never know how good my aim actually is, if I have to aim higher or not. Sure, practice will help and after some time there will be good archers/xbowers back but most people might give up archery.
It is not like archery needs to be nerfed more. Crying about archery is imo weird anyway... you must be bad not to be able to counter attack archers anyway. Shields, obstacles, running - all helps. However not topic of this thread.
-
It is just so Thomek can go on his ninja-sneak-walks easier
Sad that people start these suggestions just to get an advantage for their playstyle, but that's typical crpg

Agreed. Keep archery exactly as it is now.
But then also buff archery.

I hope you get couched in spawn for the entire week.
Even realistic archery arguments you still have an idea of where your stupid arrow is going.
Video game arguments, I will put a red dot sticker on my screen.
My argument: This is a stupid unneeded thing.
This is not needed for this game.
-
Well they could add a feature many games with sniper rifles have: Shaking crosshair, like you're breathing

Pure Idiocracy

You guys are so silly...
Thomek put this topic just to see who declines him.
He's putting your name in his black book and he'll aboozban you from EU_1 late night.
He's that evil yes.

i would not mind if its optional
i can hardly imagine playing in first person without getting killed like a noob yet people find it challenging and entertaining
this can be categorized as the same idea. if some consider it fun and challenging to play first person let them
if people find it fun and challenging to play without cross hairs let them
its a self nerf that makes it challenging for yourself and lets your enemy's be more competitive i'm all for it
ima go play first person right now lol see how well i do

+1 FOR HARDCORE C-RPG!
-
Don't make me put bluetack in the center of my screen -.-'
-
Add free-aim system like in Red Orchestra. Painting a dot on your screen to replace the crosshair in real life doesnt do you any good either. Then it all depends on your skills.
