Thanks you two, Very appreciated.

Edit: There are quite a bit more weapons and armor that don't have pictures in the shop, I'd like to have these as well if not all. I would do it myself and thread it, but I'm poor.

So, It's been a while since i've played. A lot has changed, including some new gear added to the game. Anyone have a full gallery of the new items anywhere? Since the shop icons are never updated.

Thanks! :^)

What is the green bar at the bottom-left in the hud next to the multi? Forgive me, I never bothered to figure it out let alone ask anyone what it is.

If you want to kill other archers you should use a Crossbow because that allows you to save some of your skill points to convert. I also like xbow for killing archers the best because they usually wear light armor and can be 1-2 shot with any xbow.

I suggest checking out the xbow/ 1h build posted a few days ago in the beginner section.

Yeah I love the heavy crossbow. Only thing I don't like about the hunting/light/crossbow is that the range is hideous and the bolt drop is disgusting. D: Maybe I'm not doing it right.

Lemme go check that build out.

...makes absolutely no sense :?

When you skill 30 agi, you want 10 athl and 10 wm, or at least one of them at 10. With only 9 athl, you can decrease your agi to 27 and you have extra points left 8-)

Yeahhhhhhhhhhh i think i messed up somewhere on the build calculator lol... doesn't look the way i had it.

Edit: Oh i remember now, At 31 i was going to skill athletics to 10. But I'm pretty much throwing this idea out anyways and going with a normal archer :/ I've tried all types of assassin dagger/shortsword builds but they are all so underwhelming.

3 PD and 125 archery is a no no

D: It's THAT bad? I was just gonna try to hunt other archers with this build.

I'm about to retire my very first gen, and I'm wanting to go an Archer/1her. Medium to close quarters shooting.

I'm at a loss for which bow to choose from that 1-3 PD requirement.

Short Bow - Seems to have really good cut damage but I'm kinda turned off by the accuracy. Is it bad?
Nomad Bow - ?
Tatar Bow - ?

Tatar or Bodkin arrows?

Note: I'm planning to kind of have an assassin build so I'll be carrying Scottish Sword and Long dagger/rhondel as my sidearms, and a small light bow as my primary.

My build by level 30

Strength: 9
Agility: 30

Hit points: 44
Skills to attributes: 8

Power Strike: 3
Athletics: 9
Power Draw: 3
Weapon Master: 8

One Handed: 150
Archery: 125

Any advice on the above is much appreciated.

Thanks for the advice.  :)

I'm thinking of going as an archer. Though my sharpshooting skills are unspectacular, it is certainly an improvement over my melee skills. Something that bothers me though is how finnicky and slow reloading is in cRPG compared to Native.
Support seems good to. Been playing as a shielder for a bit, but my survivability/competence is still low.

Here is my advice to you. I got good at this game by dueling one of my friends over and over again. This includes trying too 100% chamber the opponent. I found practicing chambering to train my awareness and to not lolspam and pray that I get a kill. I always find myself against these players who think they are so intimidating by feinting a million times in front of you. Just sit back and block.

As a crossbowman/archer myself, when in doubt, drop your bow and run. You almost always outrun your opponents. Also, a good trick that I get a lot of kills off of is while running from an enemy, you start a stab animation and turn it into your enemy. This works quite a bit, but it's not always successful. Last thing is learn to block like a god. Always play on the defense. Only attack when you see a legit opening. If the opponent sees you playing defensively he will most likely just try to spam you down with feints until you mess up a block. If you are using a 1her, just left swing and you can get some deadly hits in on your enemy before his blow lands on you. Hope my advice helps.

From what I've experienced....... yes they are viable.

Go on then, have a loom.

Put a deal on marketplace offering stones for a loom, post the link to that trade here and i'll buy it later.

Wow thank you man, I remember you helping me out a few months back too. You're awesome.

Join Byzantium, we have like 123 mw items in our armory

Actually that's 213 mw items an only 103 is available atm  :P

Hey N8te,

Look into joining Ravens, we're a Nordic themed NA clan that has a massive armory that is always looking for new members. Check out our faction page for our TS info and hop on to get to know more about us!

And thanks for the guild invites as well!

Tzar, Unfortunately I'm an NA player so I don't think I'd be able to join your guild, I have too shit of ping on EU. But thank you for the offer man. :D

Harry, I'll check you guys out. Sounds fun, and I always see you guys on NA so you guys seem pretty active.

Here is one of my previous replies to an old similar post. My setup changed a little bit but the point stands. I take it that you sell your loompoints. You should sell the very first loompoint you get, so that you have enough gold to try out any gear without worrying about upkeep, and then you should accumulate enough to get yourself a +3 item. Remember that 2 loompoints and some gold (100 to 150k) can get you a masterwork on the market. Also, you may take Tzar's offer and join them to benefit from their armory. Our armory is much much smaller and humbler but know that our doors are open to you as well. There is masterwork stuff in the armory you can freely use.

Wow thanks for the info man, I will probably sell my first LP then. Sounds like the better path to go. Thanks man! :D

Am I the only one who feels this way? All I've been doing is trying to keep up repair costs while trying to retire as well.  I see everyone trading hundreds of thousands of gold plus dozens of LP's on the marketplace and I feel like I will NEVER get to that point. I know they've been playing since the beginning, but this mod isn't very noob friendly for such a tight-knit community/playerbase...

I honestly don't think I'll ever see a MW weapon to call my own. Any advice?

Pretty good advice and build.  However, I actually would suggest arbalest, even above the heavy xbow.  It does nasty damage.  You can 1-hit some guys, and the ones you don't 1-hit will be hurting bad and easy to finish off.  It's just too damn fun.  :)

Btw if you need a loomed arbalest, I'm selling mine.  I'll undercut whatever price is on the market, just let me know. :)

I would buy it, but only have 20k gold. Hehe.

you....you.......you are whats wrong with mod

Hahaha don't worry I'm really bad... :(

Edit: Thanks for the advice guys.

Alright so having played a longsword fighter for almost all of my time on this mod, I'd like something new. Here is what I'm looking for.

I would like to be an agile fighter/crossbowman who can alternate from ranged to melee depending on the situation. Like a sniper, but can alternate to a durable fighter.

- Crossbow
- 1H/2h(?) Sidearm
- Medium Armor

Some Advice I'd like:

- What build? STR/AGIL, etc.
- Advice on what crossbows/bolts are good (I'm a ranged n00bl0rd)
- Any other advice/bugs i should be aware of

I really appreciate all feedback! Thanks in advance.

Edit: Pls help me! :(
