Info should be correct now 10th May 2011

What is retiring?
(click to show/hide)

How do I retire?
(click to show/hide)

Why would I retire?
(click to show/hide)

XP Bonus In an easier to read form:
(click to show/hide)

Is there a max to the amount of XP I can gain per minute?
(click to show/hide)

How many times can you retire?  Also, what level can you or should you?
(click to show/hide)

NOTE: Make sure you're reading your characters level and not his age: My char's Age is 42[27]. His Age is 42 but his Level is 27. You need to be Level 31 to be able to get the retirement benefits. Retiring at Level 15-30 is basically a char reset with the advantage of keeping all your gold and items, but no new retirement benefits.

Good, simple post. Added a text based on this to the wiki (http://wiki.c-rpg.net/index.php?title=Retirement).

So - to retire - must I before to "prepare" (create) new character with different name? Like %char_name_%genNr?
Or already implemented system what keeping existing character name?

There's no need to create a new character. When you retire the current character is replaced with the new, retired one.

You forgot that you have time for 7 days to change the name of your char not only add / remove Clantag or fix Typos and to change your gender after retirement.

(Don't think it is coded yet but chadz promised it)
Sacrum Romanum Imperium

Yeah, well you know, that's just like, your opinion, man.

as i understood the name change thing - it is/was for 7 days from when it was first posted and after this time, name changes will only be allowed for typo's/clan tag changes etc as it used to be - is this wrong?

i'll update the first post a bit

chadz said on irc when retirement was implemented again that after you retire at level 31 you get 24h (not 7 days) for a free namechange, for people who like to add their generation to their name. However I don't know if it was implemented yet.

When you retire for the first time, is your character then gen1?  or gen2?
just seems like an obvious question.

Gen2. All new characters start at gen1.
