Vikings were 800 - 1150 approximately. I really don't think the Mongols invented time travel.

They did! But filthy anti-mongol propaganda striped them out of it :(

So the topic was whether to include Turkish armor/weapon sets to the game or not :) I believe that if we are to stick with the Mount&Blade era, which is approximately 1st half of 13th century, Turkish armors should suit to Anatolian Seljuks'. In this case we should be expecting lamellar like scale armors, mail armors along with schimitar like swords. The "janissary" that we speak of is established at the end of 14th century which is out of Mount&Blade era. However, we see different armors and weapons belonging to late 16th century in the cRPG game, so "Janissary" and "Kapıkulu" brand soldier types, along with sub groups, such as Sipahis, Azabs, Serhad Kuls ... coud be given a chance in the game. The only suggestion I can give is to ignore the fact that Janissaries were merely firearm units deployed with heavy armor and auxillary swords. If we do not include fire arms, janissaries and all other members of Turkish army belonging to 13-16th centuries, could be included in the game.

Why don't you leave this type of discussion to the dev team? You have little say in what armours are added anyway.

Be happy if it's Ottoman-related armoury, you are the Turks after all, no? I would be happy if there was RP-specific items for my clan, at least.

Personally i do support you with your idea of turkish armor.
I cant say that there is so much medieval flair left with ninjas (have no problem with them running around)
and Manga-Hair (hate it) already ingame ;)

DRZ just looks cooler now after they chose to only wear the drz Armor.
So why not let some other Clans look cool.

As long as it keeps historical.
I dont want WoW-Style Armors ;)

It is clear that you didn't understand me, I'm supporting the idea of adding armors :) To my knowledge, janisseries were the elite heavy troops who were directly under the command of the sultan. It is possible to assume that they were light infantry & archers in their earliest ages but they were really heavy carrying firearms after that. There're a bunch of other divisions who were light infantry and archer units though. For your interest, you may want to look at the following source:
"The Ottoman Empire: Classical Age 1300-1600", Halil Inalcık,
http://www.amazon.com/Ottoman-Empire-Classical-Age-1300-1600/dp/1842124420/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1295955019&sr=8-1-spell
I really recommend it as this book has been used as coursebook for many foreign historians. The things I'm talking about are all extracted from this book.

For the guy who says that it's not our business to discuss this topic as we are Turks, it is kind of ambigious to say that right?

Read again, I didn't imply that the two of you had no right to discuss Ottomans/Turks, I simply said that in the end it's the dev team that decides what armours are appropriate for the mod and what armours aren't.

I hope they get really shitty stats considering that like everything made by sandniggas the armours are made off sand. And as such they should break real easily.
