Highlander claymore animation bug

My 2h suddenly got a pike animation..i could do overswing anymore and my character was holding the blade itself with one hand..as if it was a pike.

not sure but could you of caught the secondary mode button (default X) not sure on the how the animations look for the claymore as i don't have one, but try that out ingame and see if its the same as you had. If so its not a bug just you were Half-Swording.

It's called 'halfswording' and can be used with most 2h swords by pressing X. By pressing X again, you can turn it off.

As it is in real life, by half swording, when you thrust, you get longer range and you do more piercing damage, which is very valuable when fighting heavily armored targets.

Actually the range is quite a bit shorter in half-swording mode.

On the subject, does halfswording use polearm wpp or 2h wpp? Cause I've seen some cav people running around with a 2h sword and using them in "halfsword" mode.

I did do some nice piercing damage to platers in half-swording mode.

ps: this mod has come a great way ;)

By half-swording, you gain a beter leverage, and wide variety of options against most, if not all, kinds of opponents, including hiltstrikes, "hooking", etc. Here, in cRPG, halfswording is underpowered compared to reality, however it should not be superior mode, since most would switch to it, as a single actual downside of halfswording is a lack of range.
