Well it'd be nice if there were purple backs for banners..hmm. What of BRD's design? Where their ranks really mean nothing and are just on the forums?

BRD has ranks! Oh, wow... I completely missed that, hahahahaha. Yes, something along those lines indeed.
The way I see it, you really only need your Clan Leader/Fool, Squad Leaders/Veterans, Normals and your "Testing Phase" people who don't have the clan tag yet, more or less. If you need anything else you can hand out fluffy titles in addition to ranks such as "Pompous Diplomat" or "Newbie Breaker and Trainer" and other such things.
