Yeah i agree, if that kind of thing would happen to me , i would definatly quit playing.
And also the admin on the database need to take a look at their security and take a look at the logs to determine what kind of attack is used to break thru the database.
If an algorithm program is used to crack password by guessing several combination that mean X ip is hammering the database so it should be easy to spot who is doing that and block that ip but then proxy could be used.
One method should be that after X attempt the ip is blocked for Y among of times. Obviously security measure are lacking to have that happening, its certainly not an engineer from the NASA that is hacking thru the CRPG database, most likely a script kiddy.
