Anyhow:
The preloader for Shogun 2 just started.
With Shogun 2 releasing in a few hours.

Old and hard strategy games -
Populous 3: The Beginning (struggling to complete the game on my... 4th or 5th attempt right now.)
State of War (Virtually unknown, low budget RTS, same as with populous.)
Dungeon Keeper
Celtic Tales: Balor of the Evil Eye... or something like that (1994 DOS game, TBS, fun and addictive, but has a somewhat hard end, failed on my first playthrough, can play it on DosBox now.)
C&C Tiberian Sun (Old favourite, also best basebuilding of C&C series)

Some newer stuff:
Dwarf Fortress (Never really managed to get into the game because of the interface mostly, but following its development progress, hoping that it becomes more accessible to me within a lifetime)
Age of Empires III (Great fun in multiplayer with friends!)
Dawn of War (Even greater fun in multiplayer with friends, very fast-paced RTS, Dark Crusade is the best expansion to it.)
Borderlands (If you have 3 friends that you can regularly play together with, then this is good)

Medivel 2 Total War(With SS or TATW)
Nearly any Paradox game.

Great game.  Still think "Generals: Zero Hour" was better though.
Hated to play against peeps that liked using the tunneling apc.  HAH.  I remember using the EMP cannon and air dropping an MKII into someones bases.  lol, good times

I will have to second Mechwarrior Living Legends.  Great mod, great progress, best of all it is Battletech!!!!

Also World of Tanks is fun.

Actually Warband/cRpg is what I play when I am not playing these.

Also World of Tanks is fun.

It's a nice game, I play as a Tank Destroyer/Artillery most of the time. But I stopped playing now, I have 12k gold, but damn, they will wipe everything because of the release..

Also, Sabbath + M&B combo is one of the best. Try Sabbra Cadabra. Man I move with the music on my character. Awesome.

Rogue survivor - free topdown apocalyptic freeroam zombie survival game where the only goal is to last as long as possible, includes realistic elements such as the need to eat/sleep, food going bad and becoming exhausted. http://roguesurvivor.blogspot.com/
Dwarf fortress - Only had one fortress that didn't descend into anarchy by year 3, adventurer mode can be hilarious.
Floris mod - for warband is pretty good, it got me playing singleplayer again for the first time since a month or two after warbands release.
