Howdy y'all!
I'm making a pure 2h char and don't know whether to add the extra skill point towards IF or Athletics. The builds with each one are below

Agi 24

IF: 3
PS: 5
Athletics: 8
WM: 8

2h: 173

lvl 30

The point of more agility is for more athletics*, so yes max athletics -- or don't get that much agility.

*Weapon master doesn't do much on a character that is not a hybrid. The wpf return is really low when talking about actual attack speed increase.

Also, I have declared myself #1 NA hybrid thrower

As an NA admin, I am the most laid back and concerned with the ~fun of the game~ above all other factors. I've also been super inactive since Summer 2012. University takes most of my time, but I still find some time to play when i can.

Like Marathon said, if you're going for an agi build you should put point in athletics.

IMO, this build sucks, first of all because of the low strength. However, if you decide to go ninja and stick with it, than it is definitely athletics, cause it means much more in combat than couple of points in IF.
I mean, what have you got to lose? You know, you come from nothing, you're going back to nothing, what have you lost? Nothing!

Hmm... There is an advantage in having 15/24 with 8 athletics and 8 weapon master: you can use realy heavy armor, without a huge speed penalty :)

I have 5 PS now, and i can kill anyone with a Bastard Sword. Dont feel that i need more PS, been there, and it was not fun.

I have to agree people are overvaluating ps atm imo. Sure I could pump all my points into str and one-shot tincans... But I don't need to one-shot tincans, dancing around them works just as well (and is more fun!). Plus, with a balanced build, I get all the movespeed I want, good swingspeed/ability to hybrid while still maintaining enough damage to hit hard.

Just my pov.

Well... IMO, it's like this: if you stay away from clusterfuck situations, agi build works. But, If you are facing more than one guy, you are screwed, because you just can't finish any of them fast enough. I still say 6PS is minimum for decent playing. Hell, you can even go as 18/24, if you don't waste points on IF and weapon master.
I have something like this in mind:

    Strength: 18
    Agility: 24
    Hit points: 53

    Skills to attributes: 14

    Ironflesh: 0
    Power Strike: 6
    Shield: 0
    Athletics: 8
    Riding: 0
    Horse Archery: 0
    Power Draw: 0
    Power Throw: 0
    Weapon Master: 3

    One Handed: 1
    Two Handed: 132
    Polearm: 1
    Archery: 1
    Crossbow: 1
    Throwing: 1

Actually no, to face more than one guy you need athletics. I had 5 ps and 9 ps, diference is not noticeable. You still need just 2-3 hits to kill with 2h sword. But difference in 1 athletics gives you very huge advantage, both in duels and on battles. If not weapon difficulty I might have 5 or even 4 PS, and put max in to athletics. The most important skill for any infantry imo.

IF is useless for AGI builds.

People overvalue AGI imo, sure you can dance around people and take them one on one, but if you're a 30-9 build you can one shot an entire squad of agi whores, unless these whores have forecefield blocks.

Hey thanks for the tips. It seems like some people here worry more about their K/D ratio over the style of play they enjoy. Maybe I'll get more kills if i put more into STR but I wouldn't enjoy playing the char as much, and if I mess up there's always next gen. But thanks again for the advice, I'll put it in athletics.  :D

Just wanted to say that the build above is the standard Ninja build with low weight armor + katana (albeit it is probably better with a miadao or a nodachi - really any 2h except the katana).

You may will bounce a lot so prepare to block/counter.

Just a few edits on the build because you'll get at lvl30: 2IF, 172 2h.

Happy Ninja'n!

I is dahhh 21/21 @ lvl 33.

Tbfh, I dont want to miss anything, speed nor power.
The situations battle are always different, so a balanced build always fits.

P.S I got 5 IF, 7 ps, 7 Athl, 7 wm ---- 8 pts converted.

Whenever I hit lvl 34 i will get max IF + 1 shield.

Agibuilds are fancy, yet the will get rangedraped more often than balanced ones.

One Athl over that one IF!!!

the 15 24 build is actually a really good 2h build especially with a danish gs or similar.

If you're only going to have 4 IF or 3 IF, don't bother. Find something else to put those points into.

5 IF is the point where it makes a difference between 3 or 4 hits etc.

Go with Athletics.

IF is useless for AGI builds.
Every point of IF adds less absolute effective HP to an AGI build than a Tincan build, but relative to their existing survivability it's a bigger boost. IF is just as useful, if not more, to AGI melee builds.
