Ah Bonetooth yeah I remember seeing that character. And Templar_Killface was also online, lending me his Masterful Side Sword (thanks again ).
Bought Side Sword of my own now, how come you get so much gold? I played a few hours and already upgraded lots and got another 9k to spend.

If you start run out of money because of the side sword the italian sword is not a bad substitute imo.

Well depends on what armor and weapons you use you can get money or run out of money fast I only use plate when I don't need anything to buy and/or already got 5k gold during playing else I use haubergon or sarranid guard armor. (Tough latter costs on 400 repair alone)

A new system has been introduced. you gain gold per minute which is based on a multiplier which increases with every win but is reset to 1 when you loose.

You pay upkeep on equipment you use and that has a chance of breaking each minute you use it, whether you win or loose.

Yeah I figured it out now, I bought heraldic armour (not transitional) and mail boots I believe. Together with that Templarish Kite Shield and a Side Sword that comes to quite a bit of repair cost.
My cheapo stuff consists of nomad boots and red gambeson xD

EDIT (to prevent double post ) On my main I've scraped a few pieces of equipment together now. Got a red gambeson in case I get poor, to use with a cheapo shield and mail coif, and poor boots + italian sword.
I've also got a Haubergeon if I'm not totally poor. With more gold comes my Heraldic which I bought a while ago, and the templarish Kite Shield. Think I'm saving for Huscarl now and a better helm or some heavier armour.

All in all good progress over a couple of days


Edit2: Is there an updated version of the bannerpack? I'm still using the one from a year ago, which has our old banner in the one with the black, and the diagonal red stripe. Or do we simply replace a file in our banner folder in directory ourselves?

Just put it in the same lace you would to the banner pack. It's an updated (v41) banner pack file with a different templar banner as shown right above.

If you wanna get a new shield i'd say get a board shield, much better for templar style and for shield walls. Its what most of our dedicated 1 handers role.

I can PM you our suggested builds and our strategus equipment list if you are interested. Means you'll be better prepared when it comes to any strat. battles in times to come.

Yeah if you could that would be awesome! Especially the Strategus part! My common sense usually gets me thru building a spec just fine but yeah any advice I'm open to

As for the shield. I used to pick board shield, for the looks, for the funcionality. I'm a fan of Italy en Venice so I love Board Shield, just thought I'd try something different but board shield's cool I'll take that

But yeah any advice is welcome

I bought heavy board.. really good for shield wall and thats all.. It is too damn slow. ite shield are more templarish imho. Well in Strategus we surely will using this heavy board, but when Strategus will run again God only knows.
