And someone needs to make a visual strategy/logo/colours/fonts for crpg :-)

Not exactly dark imo... just different style. The colors of TW forum suited the medieval theme better. So does the eyecandy script for the cRPG website - and judging from that, it's safe to hope that:

I have seen much brighter forums, and trust me, it actually hurt your eyes looking at how bright they were.

judging by the background, it seems dark enough, it's just that the actual forum parts that are brighter than they should be.

Yeah. I like that wooden-boards in the background, too. They are really stylish. But a bit darker wouldn't be bad. (Since my eyes are really light-sensitive.)

Probably you have set your brightness on 1500 % to get an advantage on crpg at night.

If you look at your monitor, there should be a button for tuning the brightness. Consider using that maybe?
