Looking at some of the avatars on this forum there are some spaghetti western fans.

A Bullet for the General (Damiano Damiani) is one of my favourites and well worth watching if you don't mind old films (1967).

Vammo, what is that face mask in your avatar?  that thing is awesome.  is it a custom skin you have for warband?

I would wear that thing.  we need more scary/badass masks in the game.  not just attached to the samurai helms

well i don't know much about recent films, but i'll list some films that are worth watching, of course everyone has there own tastes...

"It's a Wonderful Life" is probably the best American film ever made. I'd watch that if you haven't already.

I have just seen Winter's Bone (Debra Granik) and I would recommend it. I hope it is an exaggeration of life in the Orzarks though.

@jspook: I just made a multiplayer mod as a way to view my models. You can take the mask model out of that if you want and know what you are doing.

Lately I've stumbled across a few good Christian Bale movies.

The Machinist is a good psychological thriller, he starved himself for 4 months before filming.

And then of course there's Equilibrium, a good shoot em' up flick.

All Quiet in the Western Front is a good war film (1979, about WWI)

The first one is way better, but a bit old (1930).

I also recommend everything that has "Kubrick" or "Tarantino" written in the credits, no matter where. Everything they approach turns gold.

I didn't look at all the previous posts, but here are some movies pretty watchable:
City of God (the 2002 movie) that recounts the evolution of gangs in the favelas from the 60' to the 80'. One of the best endings evar.
Children of Men; women can't make babies, immigrates are illegal, world collides. All this made by some talented mexican filmmaker through awesome sequence shots.

Oh, and I just noticed that the better a movie is, the more awful its trailer gets.
