Walls and Catapults

I know, strategus isn't up yet, but after yesterday's siege test I had this idea.

My suggestion:
Make wall consist of 3 different height levels:
1st - all the way up (undamaged wall)
2nd - half way down (after taking some amount of catapult hits - 25 for example)
3rd - all the way down 1/4 height of the wall remains (after taking maximum amount of hits - 50 for example)
After the wall being decreased each level, defenders standing on this wall would fall down and get some damage. This would simulate a wall collapsing.

The way I've noticed it on yesterday's test, walls being lowered by a little bit with every hit of catapult - correct me if i'm wrong.

I would remove the "3rd", else each castle will become teamdeathmatch after 20mins of catapult and archer camping. Catapults will still be useful, as they make it easier to scale the wall and a broken wall hinders defenders movement.

This way it would simulate walls crumbling, with still some debris hindering attackers from fighting like in open plains

Sounds good to me.

The problem with realsitic wall damaging is that it would need new models of broken walls of every type. Bonus points for broken towers, gatehouses, gates, etc. This means alot of work. The lowering is alot simpler and doesn't need new models, but also often leeds to glitches, floating objects and maybe easymode for attackers. I'd support a maximum lowering to half or so too, so maybe the smaller siege tower and ladders can then be used.
