Unban request for Lord_Riotcontrol : cRPG_NA_Siege

Hi --

I've been banned by "Rangerbob" for no reason.  No warning was issued and he has abuse-kicked me in the past with no predication.  I am level 17 and not wearing armor as of yet.  I pick up my weapon from the ground as I farm exp and gold.  This is not grounds for banning.

I was playing today and ran into Riotcontrol a few times.  He was actively participating, abit not using the best gear in the world.  Ban is a bit harsh, especially without warning.

Riot:  just buy a cheap peasant weapon and drop it when you find something better, they dont really cost that much.

Well like you said, you were farming XP ... it's not really "helpful".

Is it reasonable grounds for a ban ? I can't really tell since I wasn't there. If he warned you many times and you didn't comply then that might explain the ban. I always ask people to get a stick or a practice dagger so at least they spawn with a weapon. Afterwards they do as they like (exchange it for something better or keep it and "try" to hurt anything). Farming gold my doing suicidal runs is considered leeching as you're not helping your team. At lvl 17 you should be able to have a good weapon and help your team, if you were lower I'd understand you "farm" but it's not really helpful for your team to farm if you could actually participate with better gears.

Well that's Pibb's words .. if you check the official rules, we "strongly" recommend to spawn with a weapon or to get one as soon as possible. If you spawn and walk by weapons and don't pick them up, it's reasonable grounds to take action. The problem is when you're low level you can't pick up weapons most of the time because they require too much Str, therefore it's leeching. You're never too safe, so why not just getting a stupid dagger with no upkeep and drop it if you find something better ?

Farming XP and Gold shouldn't be done on siege, as teamwork is very important and if many players aren't helping to attack or defend, that unbalances the teams a lot. Same thing with construction stuff. People waste 2 minutes building stuff that are useless, and while people mess around like that, it lowers a lot the attacking team efficiency to take the walls and push forward the attack to the flag.

The spawning with weapon rule is pretty pointless as the some of the peasant weapons are total crap.  As long as someone is actively scavenging to find useful stuff, I dont see why you're requiring them to spawn with some useless weapon just to fulfill a bureaucratic rule.

He wasnt kamikazing, he was trying to stay alive and contribute the times I ran into him or saw him in spec.

Let me inform you that Duel Server , Battle 80 and Siege are managed by ATS (That's why we have the NA Severs : 80-man Battle and Siege Server Rules) I'm an admin on both and I know who to address a problem when there's one ...

Then about the rules, I don't make them, I enforce them .. feel free to discuss them on the Discussion section

Na this one is resolved.  It was a temp ban which was going to be a perm ban.  The guy was naked for about 10 straight rounds after repeated warnings and a couple kicked and being a troll with his naked buddy.
