You could turn the one handed/pole wpf the other way around, or even go for 50 One Handed / 150 Polearm at level 30 with 6 WM.

im 21/15 and have been since the system came out that capped at 31. I am 1h and pole arm works fine for me

My build;

21/18

maxed wm, athletics, ps, riding and 4 shield skill (i use 1h on foot, so 4 shield skill is quite nice)

This build is a lvl 32 build, if you dont want to grind that far i suggest either 18/18 or 21/15 with same skills maxed and the rest in shield/if (whichever you like)

I put 50-60 wpf in 1h, rest in polearm

It can go many ways depending on how you want to play. First decision is whether you want to use a shield on horseback. The main disadvantage to using a shield is you are restricted to a 1 slot weapon when you are dismounted. I personally can't stand being a 1-handed so instead of a shield and a q hand I take a second 2nd polearm.

Second decision is between riding and power strike. 15 / 21 will make you really quite nippy both mounted and on foot, but won't do as much damage and you won't be able to use the higher tier polearms. 21 / 15 will rip people apart but you will be out maneuvered by many cab and won't be able to dodge that well.

I would suggest 18 / 18 with max
 ps, if, ath, riding and wm (assuming no shield) with a great long bardiche as a support weapon. It is very powerful and you can tweak it how you want next gen.

Roll a 18/18 "Full Six" Inf/Cav hybrid.

You'll have lots of fun with this diverse class, and you're competitive with both styles, at the same time.

both of u right but i suggest u go for 7 ps.my build still 1h pole cav with 18 18 and 6 ps 6 shield 5 ath 6 ridin 6 wm.this is a good build but 6 ps isnt enough for 1h weapons especially nonloomed 1hers anymore

I have 18/18  138,2H 52,1H and 9,polearm. Not really a lancer build but.... i use a practice lance (you can put it on your back), a cav sheild, a langes messer, sarranid guard armour, mail boots, mail mittens, Sarranid veiled helmet and a brown 12K pony. 1H on horse 2H on foot. Best build I have ever had. Sometimes i use persain battle axe from horse instead of Lance.

Isn't 6 Wm too low for a hybrid 1h/pole build? You can get only 130 in one proficency and 100 in the other.
I'm fine with 100 points in polearms, heavy lance doesn't get much faster anyway.
But with 1h swords i feel 130 prof isn't fast enough with an heavy armour.

Youll only be effective when wearing light armour, I got 120/121 pole/2hander build atm, and it sucks @6wm.

I'd say either put only what you get from the 6 wm into onehander, and the rest into polearm (149 wpf). Hybrid builds can destroy your performance on high armour. I'd suggest just sticking to the lance or the onehander.
