My feet are sore

Well archery got a buff, cool, sheilds stayed the same, uncool. My feet are peppered with arrows now and I can't do anything about it, I'm sad now. Sheilders, how do you feel about our poor toes?

Just get a larger shield, like a kite shield. The work very fine.

And I just dodge bolts and arrows as good as I can ;)

I think shields are a bit too small. I think a 10-15% increase in shield size would be perfect. Right now, with 3 shield skill, arrows will go through the physical model of my shield and hit me.

I wanted a smaller "Force-shield" but chadz went overboard with it.

I've noticed that I've been hit easier by arrows when I hold my shield up. My shield skill is 1 though But I always did rely more on my wiggly walk.

Yes, I'm catching arrows and throwing stuff that's going through the edges of my shield. It's pretty annoying.

I stopped to play my 1h shield alts, it's useless...
If i take a big shield, 2h spammers kill me cos i'm so slow... If i take a small shield, archers kill me even easier than prepatch. I'm ok with reducing shield size and nerf on force field, it was ridiculous. But arrows do too much damage now and problem it's sniper, not that there are good, but they can shoot me far far away. Time to reach them i got 2 arrows in my toe and i'm dead.
There is too much archers on battlefield, you can't protect every side of your body and your toe or your head, which mean you're dead if you attack 2 archers, you don't even have time to strike one, that's the main problem, too much archers characters (maybe cos it's easier).

Ofc you see a lot of throwing cos ppl try to have a small chance against archers. Forget about xbow, low damage, slooooowwww reloading time, you're dead.

In fact i take less arrows with my "2h alts" and "throwing with no shield alts", just like if archers retaliate against shielders...

as an archer I end up with guys coming at me with shields all the time. And while I'm clearly aiming for the feet, most of my arrows magically end up dead center on the shield. shield size needs to actually reflect the size of the model in question. some of them actually catch fewer than the size of the model would suggest. but most catch more than it looks like they should.

With shield skill 5, it's almost as good as before patch. Just the side protection is a bit gone, but that was silly prepatch anyway.

Depends on it. I still use the buckler, yes it is small,  but can live with it to get peppered with arrows.
The problem is that the shield patch affect melee combat as well.
If my enemy is slightly off-center, then you can get hit by frontal attacks sometimes, which is quite annoying.

Yep, Wrap around hits are retarded too, the rate that they happen is excessive, I find myself dying frequently to enemies who are dead center in front of me who hit around my sheild

I had to switch to 35 armor boots to improve my survival chances. Same with the helm, using a 50 armor one in my CHEAP set.
