For many peoples, this game is more than just a game...
It's so good that people realy get into it, get addicted, get this as a part of they'r everyday life.
Those people digg that game so much that they talk and argue about it, thinking up ways to improve it(even if they dont get the point)... being nostalgic about the way it used to be.
This mod is vast and complex, it need skills and toughtfullness to be good and respected (or feared) on it.
For most peoples, this gives them a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction.
...This also generate great expectation and when you are taking this game to a whole new level of complexity that imply commitment and a hole new sets of skills via Strategus it just need to be done with patience and commitment.
Even if You think that the wait is not worth it, many other peoples will discover this game when it's done and they will enjoy it.
Remember that what you have played 5 months ago was a simple beta and even if it was awesome, the development team should have all the time they want to put as many efforts and hard work into it to implement as many new things and balance as they want!
I think that every one of us can have a lot of expectations for what is to come but in every way, I just think we are going to be overwhelmed and amazed by all the new stuff that will be added. The simple fact of strategus being back is going to be awesome so just imagine it with crafting, trading, siege equipment, caravans, capturable spawn points and so on...
This can not be anything else than pure satisfaction and great opportunity to bring your game on an other level that imply a whole lot of team work, diplomacy, cunning, roleplay etc...
This second game mod that is strategus can be so rich and elaborate that the more time we wait, the better it will be.
As the last one said, patience is a virtue.
