I guess you don't know DarkKarma.

Darkkarma uses a MW arbalest and still has to deal with the delay. His xbow is obviously a little bit faster than normal and all experienced xbowers know that if you want to bring an arbalest into the fray you have to start aiming your xbow arbalest anytime you may want to fire your xbow, so when you do get the chance to shoot you have already prepped and primed your rifle.

I like the idea, but I am just scared of projectile spam. Fire and Sword made me never want to see a projectile in my life ever again.

This.  Ive never seen one in person but this is what I have read elsewhere.
