Progression without wipe

Can't you add progression without a wipe? I think that is why people want a wipe - veterans have no progression at all for many years now

mayhaps implementing special items that only get unlocked by xp and cant be bought would do the trick?

not OP items,, special ones.  like an armored camel that has charger stats,  a penis armor

Other online games solved this issue by adding new apperances as progression and maintain the balance in game.Like getting james's armor only if u have retired 30 times. Or getting this gauntlet only if you have entered 10 battles.but those armor have not nice stats,normal stats but they are rarely used because of challange ,so ppl will try to get em.

That sounds like a good idea.

Could make it so if a player has retired a certain amount of times, they could get a custom armor or weapon added into the game, that only they can get, providing they give the devs the model and/or texture, and the equipment is historical based.
