Well that reply felt out of place in Pollux's thread because he wasn't qq about ranged for a nerf or to be removed he was just asking to be able to chamber arrows.

but it just signify the general attitude and mindset.

"i have no shield. i dont want to play shielder, i only want to play 2h/polearm. i dont like range because they counter my class. range is a problem"

im just getting really tired of all the complaining and moaning about range, 90% of the players in this mod wants to be immortal shitlords. im sorry that pollux was the one to get it this time around, but if it wasnt him it would be someone else. pollux can take it though, he is a man.
theres a lot of complaining about range, for too long and not at all justified. you dont fix the mentality of players by nerfing range or buffing other classes. its the mentality attitude and mindset and not the class that is fail.

no ive always mainly played shielder.

the reason for high amount of range is because low amount of shielders and high amount of no-shielder melees.

the reason for high amount of no-shielder melees is 1) epeen/mentality 2) its simply too good (imo unbalanced/broken) compared to the other crpg-classes. true gamers will always find the weakest and strongest and exploit both.


heres how archers use to be, and yes, there is a lot of room for improving, i think thats obvious. ignore my noobish teamhits, it was my mouse or some other external factor, not at all me. also notice the amount of shielders/range/2h & pole (its not very clear on this clip, but you can hear the shield-blocks in the background in the start of the clip)

The problem is not ranged itself, it's the number of players using/ abusing it that is. My main has been a hoplite for a long time now and the shield is only useful at longer distances or when 1 on 1 with a ranged player.

haha, shielder "isnt good enough". nice meme brother, it's easily 3x as good as it is on native- people tend to use it less on battle and more on strat, though.

2h/pole arm isn't a problem for shielders... except long maul.  Long maul is evil, non-historical, and OP.  Of course, if you got rid of it, half the strat population would have to learn a new weapon.

hey bryggan, i really wish you'd shut the fuck up with your peanut gallery-tier commentary on mauls. i know you're completely reliant on your shield to be able to play, but you should own up to that instead of whining about a largely situational weapon
