Battle Brothers: cRPG Edition

I know there's already some old thread about this but I'm gonna be regularly updating my cRPG adventures here. Its a sweet little game about having your own band of mercenaries and going around doing contracts, killing things, escorting caravans, etc.

Here's the starting lineup (consisting of my old friends/Bandits ofc but as I move along and they inevitably perish in this dangerous world I recon there will be some familiar EU cRPG faces coming along as mercenaries):

(click to show/hide)

.
.
First task was to hunt down a certain brigand called Hoggart the Weaserl and his band of cutthroats. Unfortunately we lost our dear brother Bruno the Brainfart:

.
.
.
After having a toast in his name we replaced him with another old brother in arms who used to spend his time with a bunch of morons wearing white & green but for this occasion he rejoined us, just like the good old days:
(click to show/hide)
.
.
A few successful skirmishes followed, first against some werewolves and then against some brigands. During our travels we've met the cheapest mercenary ever to live in this harsh world. He was so cheap (only 35 gold pieces for his service, a quiver of 10 arrows costs more) that we took pity on him and allowed him to join us in our travels.
(click to show/hide)
.
.
Unfortunately his "adventures" didn't last long. Next day we were attacked on our way by some random brigands and the last one standing just crushed our new friend with a single blow of his mighty morningstar:
(click to show/hide)
Having buried him we continued our way to an old ruined fort filled with some thieves who stole an important artifact that we were contracted to retrieve.
.
.
(click to show/hide)
.
.
.
The fort was cleared, artifact restored, not a single loss. Upon our way back the troubles began. Having a killer on the run in your Warband is always risky.
(click to show/hide)
.........and decisions have to be made:
(click to show/hide)
.............for better or for worse:
(click to show/hide)
.
.
.....fortunately this world is full of potential adventures of all kinds:
(click to show/hide)
...full party atm:
(click to show/hide)
.....finally a battle without casualties !
.
.
After successfully retrieving a stolen talisman from some bandits we decided to clear abandoned ruin filled with some orcish younglings....we lost our beggar:
(click to show/hide)
...so we decided to finally fill our ranks as much as we can. As if the gods of war heard our campfire talks:
(click to show/hide)
.
.
Later in town we took a new contract and finally accomplished our ambition:
(click to show/hide)
.
.
Adventures await.
.
.
First chadz's battle was also his last:
(click to show/hide)
...so a decent replacement was found right away:
(click to show/hide)
...this Warband is really like a family, no matter the differences in......well, no matter the differences:
(click to show/hide)
.
.
The Warband ventured into Fasader's homeland territory:
(click to show/hide)
......where many dangers await for those who are mad enough to enter:
(click to show/hide)
.....our lineup was strong & brave:
(click to show/hide)
.....but balding italian midget still went to his grave:
(click to show/hide)
.
.
Since this wild land has germanic names & toponyms it would be appropriate to have Turkomanic warriors joining us:
(click to show/hide)
During battle against the undead our dwarven friend got several wounds, one even got infected:
(click to show/hide)
.....we managed to patch him up in a nearby village temple but little did we know that our next contract involving killing some brigands will be his last:
(click to show/hide)
.....so we needed another brave Turkoman to fill his dwarven boots:
(click to show/hide)
.
(click to show/hide)
.
.
A few successful skirmishes followed, without any losses until.....
(click to show/hide)
...so there was another new face added into our ranks -
(click to show/hide)
. During our fighting against direwolves and germanic vampires two strange things happened (the loss of Reyiz is none of those, it was to be expected): Dadovinchi got swallowed by one of the creatures but we killed it and he dropped out of its belly covered in shit......and this:
(click to show/hide)
.....Bloberyn is a strange & dangerous warrior both in real life & virtual.
.
.
Our next contract was to venture into a crypt full of undead:
(click to show/hide)
...and when we got there.....
(click to show/hide)
.....not a single brother perished. We are turning into a force to be reckoned with.
.
.
Another strange incident occurred on our way to the next quest - some peasant mob decided to lynch a guy for his.....love for fruit:
(click to show/hide)
....ofc we couldn't allow that to happen:
(click to show/hide)
....so we took the sick bastard in with us as a reserve:
(click to show/hide)

...and boy did we do the right thing - right in our next fight cleaning a den of evil filled with well armed rogues & brigands we lost our toothless Latvian:
(click to show/hide)
.....it was one of the hardest battles so far, they were well equipped and beside slaughtering one they wounded half of our Warband.......and so the Melon Shagger stepped into the front line.
.
.
A bit later along the road:
(click to show/hide)

.
.
Our next battle was a big one against the undead:
(click to show/hide)
...but brave Warband's shieldwall prevailed.
On our way back:
(click to show/hide)
....there are some things in this world no one can change.
.
In any case: we fulfilled another ambition:
(click to show/hide)
...and continued our voyage filled with dangers:
(click to show/hide)
.
Finally - our own Battle Standard:
(click to show/hide)
.
.
While escorting a caravan:
(click to show/hide)
...I guess (being french and all that) Bloby simply couldn't reach the bloody cow:
(click to show/hide)
.
.
Our brave shieldwall can withstand attacks from numerous creatures:
(click to show/hide)
...which makes it easier to fulfill our ambitions:
(click to show/hide)
...but ofc having Turks in your party is always problematic:
(click to show/hide)
...not that the others are any better:
(click to show/hide)
.
.
Our biggest fight so far, in terms of numbers:
(click to show/hide)
...but we're too good for those brainless beasts:
(click to show/hide)
Some more renown:
(click to show/hide)
....and finally - the 13th warrior joined us:
(click to show/hide)
Having cultist & zealots in your party doesn't always work as intended:
(click to show/hide)

To be continued.....

Do you honestly think you have any sort of moral authority, Reyiz? Go genocide some more armenians and deny it ever happened, please, and stay in the middle east.

This is EU adventure, the only puck-headed maple-sucking moosefuckers are those creatures we keep killing.

There wasn't enough pikes, every party starts poorly equipped and you simply didn't live long enough to get a pike. Now I have 2 extra in my inventory but you're long dead, buried, rotten & eaten by worms.

Its an adventure in a virtual world comparable maybe to a hypothetical situation of yourself leaving your cellar and stepping into the outside world.....I know you wouldn't last long but.....so many possibilities, so many dangers, so many new things to discover.......would you be able to do it, Kurd ? All it takes is one spine and two balls.

We are living in times where unselfish effort is recognised as autism by the weak-minded. Sad.

Love it!

Love the game, although nothing more rage inducing than losing your best warrior to some stupid thing
