Remove the damage cap of the couched attack. (Lancing)

I can easily get 1 shot if I head charge due to the speed bonus, but on the other hand speed bonus for me is capped , because of the couch damage cap that was implemented years ago.

If I can recall correctly, it capped at 40.

Nah, can't be. That would mean you can't ever 1-hit anyone with couch.

There definitely isnt a hard cap that i know of, ive been oneshot with like 60+ hp heavy armor. From experience it seems like its nearly impossible for infantry to reach the same damage potential using the same speed bonuses against cav, or the window is extremely precise.

That said i have had couches deal suprisingly little damage at times (like 70% with 7 IF 66b armor), but i think that comes down to either builds or me negating as much speed bonus as possible.


Is this an honest buff request? Your cav KD must be like 3 or 4 right? All you really do is just find unawares and oneshot them, or continuously play on the safest angle and hope that they dont have the athletics to maneuver it for a counter.

Dude, I am one of the few lancers that go head to head with enemy inf, I even charge people with spears.

I play lancing for the thrill of it, not easy kills.

i belive cav archer balance just okey. Archers can kill horses easyly and cav still one hit an archer.

Imo its still freaking overpowered.

I'd still like to know if there really IS a cap for couched lance damage, because I was playing with the thought of looming a great lance. Even an unloomed one might be pointless when there's a cap... Dem intransparent game mechanics...

If you run away, you might be able to survive a couch lance to the head, depending on build.

However, there can't be a damage cap. I use a 10/36 build and I one-shot everything that doesn't run the same direction as my horse (which yields a lot of negative speed bonus).

as a badmin with damage report access you can do more than 40 damage, i think the mosti 've seen myself do was 68 after armor mods

Someone clearly hasn't used a great lance. - No dmg cap on couched lances.

so many ppl are high str builds now so yeah u dont one hit them ...
but i get one hit a lot on my agi builds wich is kinda unfair ...
i understand the problem panos but imo the problem come from str is op now ...
