Sorry guys, another level change poll. But this time, I'll be explicit in the system I am proposing. Expanding upon the poll question, the XP required for each level would be the same as it was in Pre-Pod, as opposed to now, where levels 31+ require substantially more XP. So, we would again see people at level 36, however, leveling past 35 (or some other level) would only grant the player a small bonus of 1-2 to their health.

Why the proposal? Well, I am aware that some people are unhappy with the current leveling system, for various reasons, including that reaching level 35 is impossible, grinding that much is absurd, game is more enjoyable with higher level builds, and other things. Those are entirely reasonable complaints, but for quite a while I couldn't see a way to have that, while still retaining the qualities that the current system has, such as that newer players are not fighting against a build 6 levels higher than their own, or the strain put on the engine by higher level builds.

This leads me to my justification for such a change. Those who are currently level 31+ will end up at the same, or a higher level build. Additionally, anyone who had some enormous grind to the next level would see that grind be substantially cut down. So, on average, player level would go up a bit, and the grind for the next level would go down. (unfortunately for those right near the cusp of reaching 34 or so, they might see their grind to 34 be wasted. I'll try to think about ways to deal with the possibility of this)
In any case, changing this leveling system in the proposed way would not put new players at a significant disadvantage, as any levels beyond 35 would only grant bonuses to health. In a similar manner, a level 37 build (if achievable) would also not be able to attain levels of agility that can put much strain on the engine.

I can't guarantee this is something I'll be easily able to implement, but I personally think it is a good compromise, that benefits everyone. Do note that this change isn't set in stone yet, and I'm very interested in hearing/seeing input on it.

3 more hp per level would be better (since you don't get skill points at all, therefore no minmaxed builds), and less XP overall should be required (who's going to play 500 more hours to reach 34 ?). 2018 should be the year bannerlord finally releases (probably toward december or something), so there's no point in playing religiously again for the average joe, or even old players themselves.

Feels like everything is more washed out with so many stat points, everyone is very fast and hits relatively hard. Builds lose flavor cause you gotta be really damn fast to stick out as an agi build etc. I'd have wanted lower levels even, to try it out. Could turn out to make some interesting gimmick builds really stand out, but there would have to be adjustments so its probably not worthwhile.

I think the super high levels ruined the game mechanics somehow.

A balanced build could have 180+ in a prof and allowed more of those unanimated swings. I experience a massive lowering of those visual glitches, could probably be also related to the new servers.

I think we should keep it as it is, everything is a bit slower, more comfortable to play with.
Maybe if Coronoa virus gets rid of 50 percent or more of the world population we can do without a pope and religion.

Keep it as it is. 33rd level is currently quite obtainable and I believe that for the sake of balancing the game a little bit we really shouldn't have players at higher levels than that.

If there will be a Bannerlord cRPG version, hopefully devs will avoid the mistake of allowing too high levels as it in my opinion killed the early population of this mod.


Oh, and one more thing. Please consider disabling  banner balance for server with population lower than 50 or maybe 40 players. I'm a great fan of this feature but honestly with about 30 players on the servers usually more than half players in one team are from the one clan, so I don't have to tell you that it leads people to leave the server as they keep loosing and nobody likes that.
With higher population there is allways someone to counter stuck so it's not really an issue. Cheers.

Maybe a cap at 175 wpf points is the solution to that.

Sure, the game is slower now, but seeing the same builds over and over again is pretty boring.
