To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand how range works. The aiming is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of your arrows will go over anyone's head. The real marksman players understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of skill required to play ranged, to realize that they're not just point and click- it requires top notch skill. As a consequence people who dislike range truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, playing STR archer and nudging someone with full plate 15 miles away to then turn around and 2 hit them, which itself is a reference to actual medieval archers in the 1240's. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as extremely skilled players kite them for half the map. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
