I play different alts and etc but have hadall of them survive morethan 1 hit multiple times. Even my naked alts. Prob just some speed bonus stuff going on. I have an alt that has 1 IF with felt cap and a 42 armor that took a sword hit, 2 arrows (1 teammate arrow) and a bolt and then died to a teammate stabbing him accidentally. Teammates being as dangerous as your enemies u know.

I mean, it's advisable for a hoplite for drop/shoulder their shield when caught in a 1v1 since using a 2d polearm is still usually better. Heck, I carry around a 1h sword and use it with 0 wpf sometimes. Not all builds are built for all situations...

Strange I could have sworn I already knew that.

Then why complain about an inherent weakness of your chosen class?

I'm not? I am defending the point that is armor is not useless and that I can survive hits from high strength builds. and other ranged just fine or perhaps you got lost? I mean Thyrnn is pretty distracting so I don't blame you.

I'm slower than all but the pure strength maulers due to the fact that my arb weighs more than a tree

that´s why I got myself 9 athl and a pretty light armor, the only ones who catch up to me and my arbalest are speed builds, in the worst case throwers with high athl ("QQQ! QQQ! QQQ!")

I only drop my arb when I have to duel somebody or I have to fight a group of people. That not only makes you faster, against groups there´s also always that one dude who then grabs your arb and reloads it, which is -1 guy to take care of for a long time in the fight. You just have to make sure to hit him once before he´s done reloading. And if he tries to run away to reload, it´s easy enough to catch up to him

I'm aware... I play with 9 ath aswell and moderate armor lol I've used the same class since 2011 and I do the same thing I actually drop my arb when engagements are unavoidable hoping someone will be distracted by my dead weight. So I get it. I'm just making a point that strength characters CAN catch up to me and force a melee engagement. (makes his statement false) and I wouldn't be trying to get away from them if I just dropped my primary weapon on the ground... which is my counter point to Thyrn comparing it to him dropping his longsword lol.

Problem is he is acting like I'm like brand new or something. - the point of me posting here was to say that my 0 ironflesh medium armor build has YET to be one shot by anything.

2. A new swap where you quickly drop the weapon (as if unsheathable) and immediately draw your next weapon. This would be the obvious go-to option for any ranged suddenly ambushed in melee, and imo would partially resolve ranged kiting. An archer/xbower could stow their weapon only if they had the awareness to see the attacker coming in time, otherwise they'd have to drop it, otherwise they'd have to try and fight with a bow in melee. This would also potentially impact hoplite classes and others with a sidearm, realism debate aside (who has time to sheath a weapon effectively in the middle of a fight?) it could make for interesting gameplay where people have a reason to win that fight to retrieve the shit they dropped, and a soft penalty for running away.

It'd be too much effort to do for cRPG so I originally proposed it for OKAM. Maybe cRPG Bannerlord would consider it.

They already have this feature in cRPG, except its for daggers only. You can assign a button for it In the controls menu, its called "Quick Draw". It probably wouldn't be too difficult to extend coverage to other weapons. It basically makes you drop your weapon and pull out your dagger extremely quickly, allowing you to shank the guy in the face almost immediately.

On the grand scale of Dwarven global threat assessment, Acre is currently ranked pretty low. Just slightly below Yoshis and factions that no longer exist.

33/15 milanese set, can take 2 throwing lances to my head and I will still walk away asking myself who the fuck is tossing paperballs at me again
Maybe if Coronoa virus gets rid of 50 percent or more of the world population we can do without a pope and religion.
