Well at least I wasn't there clamoring for a release date, or I am going to die before this game releases, or my grandkids might get to play this.  :P
Heck some of the arrows even missed in that old system, where as all hit in the new one. And they even seemed to stagger him in that new one gif.

The new system seems only marginally more realistic than the old, the primary difference being that there is seemingly more pronounced (and longer lasting) stun. We can only hope that they don't let the 'prettiness' of the new system have a negative impact on combat, where everyone swings through molasses and is stuck in 2 seconds of stun after a successful block. I'm all for longer, more-realistic impact stun, so long as you can act fairly quickly out of the animation, if not interrupt it altogether with an input.

I guess they are waiting now for the next generation of consoles/PCs to arrive to satisfy all their perfectionistic desires. Otherwise I just can't understand why it takes so long. The game seemed done when they showed the in-game footage like 2 years ago, so I guess what they do right now is optimising it/creating a console port. Also I wonder how much of the things they showed will be cut off before the release for the sake of optimization and stuff (their goal is that the game can be runned on potato basically, from what I've heard before). Anyway, I'm just dying from waiting

Single player campaign is not ready that's the latest rumour, and it doesn't look like they will finsh it anytime soon.
I'm pretty sure that hordes of Phyrex clones will hate Bannerlord, different animations, not much feinting, some sort of weapon physics... macros dead.

Errrrrrr... There is arrow to shield stagger animations in Warband, albeit always the same. Why do they make it look like the "old system" had none at all? Does their "old system" is a prototype Bannerlord system from which they had removed a Warband feature?..

Overall fishy announcement on a very marginal improvement to impact animations.

Only bad players ever used macros, and only bad players had issues with them.

Maybe I shouldn't use the macro word, but I am refering more to specific playstyle based heavily on feinting, especially 2h animations, we all know how wierd it looks. It takes time to learn this moves, of course, but whole thing is fishy if you ask me. Some sort of feints are good to confuse oponent, but with certain animatios in Warband it just crossed a border.

They should talk more about AI improvements in single player campaign. Had my fair share of playing game online with human scum, thank you very much.
