Starcraft 1 + Brood War for free (and SC2 for free now too)

With a new patch, Starcraft+Starcraft Brood War are finally going to be free to download from the Blizzard website within the upcoming week

Finally I´m going to have a legal copy of that one, lol. Haven´t played it in years and I guess I´ll have a try again.


In other news: there´s also going to be a HD-Remaster of Starcraft1+Brood War and people seem to go nuts about it. My question:
Why?

Why the hell are people hyped about an old game just getting a liiiiittle bit nicer models than it had before?

- Starcraft 2 (only the first part, Wings of Liberty though) is going to be free from the 14th of November on

- also, if you already own Wings of Liberty, you get Heart of the Swarm for free instead, but that's only a limited offer from 8th November to 8th December (which is nice because I only got WoL so far and didn't bother getting the other ones)

I heard they got rid of the checkbox for allied victory, so that I couldn't back stab in comp-stomp matches, killed all interest for me in sc2.
