OKAM is temporarily dying. There used to be multiple full servers with 150 players each, now it's about 80 worldwide, at least in the evening. There's not much to do, since Epic is not yet released, and the regular combat mode suffers from repetitiveness and lack of diversity. Being limited to 13th century means that you've got nowhere near as much various equipment as in cRPG, so you only have different kinds of leather, mail, and scale, all pretty similar. Weapons are pretty limited too, they all feel more or less the same to me. There are only 4 stats you can level: health, damage, attack speed, and movement speed. Again - not even close to cRPG's diversity of builds. I can understand why the devs decided to settle on 13th century - no firearms. But then it's their game and they don't have to stick to realism so strictly. They could introduce a bit of fantasy/alternative history to the game and make a period when there was both the classic medieval stuff and "firearm period" stuff like plate armour, bigass 2h swords, rapiers etc., but no firearms. Each next update will bring a new wave of players, some of which will go meh after a while, some will stay. This will probably keep repeating until Epic or some other persistent feature gets released.
