No, but it isn't a proper tournament if archers shoot at melee fights, or cavalry goes bumping people. It's not fun to play so.
You only see it from an archer's perspective. See it from a melee fighter's perspective, and you'll know how annoying it is to get shot at while you're fighting.

But why do you defend ranged that much? Can't you play anything else than archer? Never really seen you with anything else than archer class, and I agree it's satisfying to get kills from ranged weapons, but it kinda ruins the fun for everyone else.

I've played like 1 hour since the last tourney (2years?). Why would i want to come and play something boring?

Throughout the years, the only class you've played is archer.

You'd attract more people if you change the rules slighty, let's say limit it to one archer per team or whatever. I've always been melee and I've always been annoyed by archers and cavalry, but I don't see how they could ruin things. Isn't it equally annoying to get backstabbed or spammed?

I would, but then I would have to have 1 archer on each team, otherwise it would be unfair. Backstabbing and spamming is part of melee, but yes, it is annoying.

But okay cavs and ranged, go apply and I'll see how many it attracts and see what I can do. (I can't promise you will play as cavalry or ranged though, but we'll see)

shit thing cos >range< is also xbow/trowing or hybrids so if u gonna allow range it's whole spectrum possibility of aidz builds or even classic normal melee +xbow to shotgun in close range:/
