I have q8200, 4gb of ram, 7750 radeon card.

My brother tested the last beta with a Q6600 and GTX 550 TI which are nearly identical in power to what you have. The biggest difference are his 12GB of RAM and I think he mentioned that he noticed a memory leak after 3 hours, but I could ask how well it ran.
I am optimistic that you get playable framerates with your PC (at least for now).

i still have similar rig for HTPC and its a fucking cheap dirty beast, OC is crazy 4.0 is ez with some good air cooling on MB (southbridge mod) u can go for 4.5GHz and fun thing on this fucking cheap xeon u have more L3 Cache than on fully new 6700k skylake and under IHS there is no shitty intel paste like again under 6700k, for gpu it depends but for cheap rig there is no match for xeon5450 6GB of ram and p5q pro just fucking performance per dollar is outstanting.

PS.8200 was castrated Cpu from beginning, boost from switching to xeon will be huge for u/ 4cores/HyperTreading/L3 cache/ 4.0 or 4.5 GHz per clock etc

fak 60 E for q9650 noooo  very expensive, nah moding 775 into xeon CPU is not so hardcore like it seems, still xeon 5450 was a cheaper and better solution,
but for 60 euro it would have been better to buy i5 2500k

little problem with 775 socket is that u will need good 800MHz DDR2 like OCZ Platinium edition etc and they are bit expensive 

( u need good ram for harder OC on cpu q9650, it's harder to OC q9650 than e5450 cos of better silicon vafel of xeon, less voltage on xeon means u don't need to be scared of fucking up temp. on south brigde on Motherboard, and if ur going to OC q9650 into 4.2 GHz u need to OC your Ram and it's a big problem/why?/ u need a higher voltage on Ram going from standard 1.9V to 2.22V or even 2.30V and it will increase hugely yours temp.on ->south bridge<- thats why Xeon was/is a waaaay better solution for cheap good rig)

Another very important thing is that on 775 socket ->south bridge<- (RAM CONTROLLER) is shitty and if you are going to buy a ram like 2x 2xddr2 800Mhz i mean all yours slots on motherboard will be used (4 Dimms banks) it will fuck up your booting into Bios, read about crazy problems with using all 4 dimm slots on 775 socket thats why it's another no go for q9650 and why ppl  nowadays are using xeons but not going for 8 GB or ram (2x2x2Ram all dimm slots used) but they are going for ->2*2  +   2<- (only 3 banks are used)

Actually i payed it 55 euros. I don't want to risk it and fuck up the motherboard (i am pussy i know), that is why i bought intel.
I was thinking about buying maybie 2x4gb ddr2, but i had problems with one memory. It seems like KVR800D2N6/4G is only for amd.
Couldn't make one work on mine PC, but KVR800D2N6/2G works normaly. Don't get it what seems to be the problem.
Tried every possible solution, couldn't help it. If i attempt getting 8gb of ram, are you sure that 100 percent will not work? Mine motherboard is GA P43 Es3G.

P43 chipset is castrated 45 less phases into Cpu :/ im very familiar with socket 775 (was my fav rigs/e8400 than e8500, first good quads 6600 than 9650  kurwa good old times   )
so on p43 or p45 southbridge (memory controler) is very problematic, probably u overheat your memory module by mistake, i killed like 7 modules of ram not even touching voltage in Bios

it's important not to use all 4 banks of dimms on motherboard (even fucking new skylake got some problems with this:/ ) and overcloaking your ram, thats the big problem, to OC Cpu on 775socket u need to pump your CPU and ->equally<- u need to OC your ram into 870MHz it's plus/minus 445 FSB and its 4.02 GHz on your CPU. It's easy to oc q9650 to 4.02 Ghz but on two DIMM slots like 2x2GB of Ram 800Mhz but who wants fucking 4GB of ram so if ur going to buy a ram try to buy 2x4 only!! and those memory kits are expensive, i mean u need to buy 800MHz atleast not some cheap ebay memory modules ( yea i know those type of ram kits are flooding almost in every ebay auctions ) like this

ah if u know how to setup Voltages in bios u can try setup like i had for ram if shitter is not working correctly, bah here is setup to q9650 to 4.02 and some tips:

DRAM voltage  -try always to put 1 stick and setup voltage to v2.02 if you can reboot and log into bios put another stick and another ONE BY ONE it's important not all 3 or 4 rams, thats why its important to have good ram with 2.02(+0.08v will be added by mobo) not some cheap shit wich can't boot even on 1.90 V (standard of ddr2 is 1.90V but its too low to OC memory so it's hard to OC your Cpu so your GPU will be bottlenecked )
vNB - here is another important thing, if u gonna use 3 banks of ram u need to pump some Voltage go for 1.50V(probably it will be purple alert in bios but no problemo with this )or even more to 1.58V but dont go for more than 1.60V it's too much for mobo and ram

yeah if u will OC to 4.2Ghz and with some ok oc on 970Gtx u will have nice 60 fps constant in every game so good luck, ah and if u will have problems with ram write to me i will give u manual timmings on them:)
