What he is saying is that this isn't a new occurrence and has been going on for a while. So therefore you are a shit blocker since you only notice recently.

I'd still look into your connection. Over the years so many people blamed servers and whatnot for lag, from what I experienced with different ISPs is that it's maybe 80% problems with your connection and 19% percent general Warband wonkiness. As soon as 3 people say they have lags everybody concludes it must be the server, ignoring that at the same time others play perfectly fine.
