20/05: permabanned

22/05: Bicep was banned after not just one dozen, not just two dozen, but 28 bans. He's a repeat offender with multiple instances chat abuse, teamkilling, and leeching. After I banned him I tried to talk to him about his ban, tried to lighten things up and have a funny/easy going conversation and asked him if he would change and he said no.  In fact, on multiple occasions of me asking him if he would stop breaking the rules, he simply told me to leave him alone or ban him.

Let me be clear: I don't give a damn about being anyone's mom. The time I get to play cRPG I would much rather NOT do that and for most of the time it's perfect -- until Bicep (or someone of that character) logs on and creates problems for me and for other players. In fact, I noticed that about half of the round I spectated him, he was busy typing near spawn or "SENDING PERSONAL FUCKING MESSAGES LEAVE ME ALONE". The irony here is that I was using spectator because I was taking a call, and knew that I couldn't play. The multiple rounds of leeching in addition to a previous one-hour temporary ban for tking and chat abuse resulted in a seven day ban. It was changed to a permanent ban later (and I'll get to that soon).

If you read the rules and just play the game it's no issue. In fact, it's really no issue if you mess up, get kicked or muted or even banned. It's really no issue because we all know this is part of learning the rules. I guarantee you that if a player apologizes and admits to breaking a rule or even simply contacts the admin who banned them, he/she will unban that person a timely manner. In an attempt to facilitate such an interaction, Bicep showed a complete lack of remorse, thus contributing to the situation he was already in.

After consulting Uther, admins both past and present, the unanimous decision to permanently ban him was enacted. Is a permanent ban really permanent? No, there's always possibility for mediation and appeal. But that will only occur after Bicep has had time away from NA and time to reflect on the changes he wants to make to his "style of play", so to speak.
