But I hear it's really good. Anyone played it?

Out of curiosity, I watched a couple of reviews... mixed, I'd say.

They all say that the boss fights are glorious and the best there are, classes are versatile and fun, magic has actually real punch in this game, combat is smooth and fluid...

...and then there are fixed respawns for mobs, Skyrim sized game world with no fast travel nor mounts, awfully blabbering NPC companions, quests rather bland and other minor things.

And at then end of the review they say that the boss battles are really glorious.

I would like to like it but that is too much mixed feelings for me.

Which review? I've seen the Angry Joe one, but that wasn't for Dark Arisen.

Dark Arisen = Dragon's Dogma.

It's just Dark Arisen has all the expansions included.

The review you watched can be still taken in consideration for this since they are the same game.

That's all I'm trying to say.

Not really, since it potentially fixed some of the gripes that the reviewers had. For example, travelling was a major complaint of many, and Dark Arisen changes many things about it.

The game is great if you enjoy that type of combat and open world feeling.

It also has an endgame dungeon from one of the expansions that many complained because it is too hard (I think you need to be level 100 to have a chance). I'm not sure they changed anything in this version of the game regarding that.

From what I read, the fast travel changes only become really relevant in NG+.

Vanilla had 1 fixed fast travel point and 1 placeable, Dark Arisen added 1 fixed and 4 placeable. In NG+ you get 5 more placeable.

Best game ever, what?

It is a good game, i played the shit out of it. And i fidn the game very polished, good gameplay , good responding mechanics, and i have only found 1 or 2 bugs, but they realy didnt impact anything.

What CMP said. When you first play, the distances get kind of lame.... but on the other hand, its a nice way to get exploration and sightseeing done, and get a feeling for the setting of the world.
Later on you get portal crystals, and you can place them on hotspots. with each NG+ your portal crystals will be saved.. and you can loot new one's.
Im on NG+8 and i can basicly do the main storyline in an hour or 2, sicne i got portal crystals all over the place.  8-)

But all in all it doesnt realy matter to much, end-game will take place on Bitterblack Isle. The difficulty will grank up and most your gear from the "old-world" will be redundant.

I heard they also making a Dragon's Dogma online version, but its kind of shit and asian.
Dragons Dogma is somwhat online. you dont get to play together or anything. But you are able to use other people their pawns, and pawns from your steams friendlist. And you're able to send them gifts etc.

Thats because 99% of the new gen gamers are ADHD impatient little spoiled fucks.. that want to rush to the end to finally get that instant-gratification feeling and move on to their next "hit", while being oblivious to the little things along the way that can make you happy and appreciate games.

I dunno, I bought it last time it was on sale and put about 12 hours into it. I would've loved it when I was a bit younger but it didn't click with me and starting as a mage didn't help my interest.
And how!

If there's one thing that this game is lacking, it's surely not class variety.

Hell, you can be an archer that shoots magic arrows instead of real ones.
