How about the Great Red Dragon?.. I was going through some movies when I had chickenpox, and this one was really worth it :)

I like dragons with long necks and small heads. A little like this:

But overall dragons are IMO pretty overrated and and appear in too many fantasy series.

Seath the Scaleless (because what's better than some Dark Souls lore!)

A dragon that due to jealousy betrayed his immortal brethren (he was not immortal himself) by giving up the secret to their immortality. Was later driven mad by his research of immortality and sorcery.
not sure about the smart part

other dragons were immortal
other dragons had scales

Seath was mortal
Seath was Scaleless

didn't take that long to figure out tbh fam smh bbq

Mathew Mcconaghey is the axe guy. For a 2002 movie the CGI still is better than some recent stuff like got dragons cough

This thread made me watch that movie again, good stuff especially first 2/3. Btw never noticed before that it was Mcconaghey playing that constantly grunting US muscle boy.

I guess we're doing both dragons and wyverns *adjusts glasses*.

Smaeuueuuueuug from hobbit was really sick in the movies, his voice was overwhelming and great, definitely the best they couldve done with him. Too bad he was killed off rather quickly and abruptly. I think they also goofed in the making, and at first he was a wyvern, but had to be edited to become a dragon, not sure if theres still a version which shows him as a wyvern, but still kinda funny.

Seath is pretty great, but Kalameet is best dragon in dark souls.

FromSoftware knows their dragons and wyverns, and is definitely the game to have pulled them off the best to date. Not like, ugh, skyrim. Dragons were weaker than the average fucking npc there. Junk.

What the hell, Mathew Mcconaghey plays the axe guy? That's so weird. He doesn't look anything like, well, himself.

I've always really liked this illustration on the front cover of 'The Hobbit'. Only recently realised it was drawn by mr Tolkein himself

(click to show/hide)

He does look like he's having a smug time.

Obviously my post didn't get upvotes and laughing gif replies because no one got the pun, so allow me to explain.

It's a reference to the fact that Smaug names is close to smug, which means to feel content about oneself. In the image showed in HESKEYTIME's post, see, the dragon named Smaug is depicted with a large grin on his face, surrounded by his so coveted treasure, haha, so one could say Smaug is being smug about his actual "predicament", get it?

He doesn't act like it, too. Need to check out more of him, seems a better actor than I thought.
