Overview
  • This will be a competition between any number of 5-man teams to get as far as possible on one of 3 different maps.
  • For consistency the maps will all be done in (mostly) sunny ingame weather, admins will change the map until a proper climate is found.
  • The poll has ended and the order of the maps has been chosen. It turns out the original ordering of the maps was the same as the results of the poll. Coincedentally, of course. See the scoring section  for more details about what the order of the maps mean.

  • This event will be held on the weekends, to allow for teams with varying timezones to find a time that they can all play together. Hopefully, this will take only one weekend to finish, but if it takes longer then it will just have to take longer.

Rules
  • Each team only gets ONE attempt per map. This should take around 2 hours, but this is simply an estimate.
  • NO cavalry!
  • NO exploiting! If the mapmaker did not intend for you to get to somewhere, stay away. Also, if an admin tells you not to do something, obviously, don't do it!
  • You may only participate in one team.
  • Only level 35 characters allowed! (This includes STF's, in fact they are recommended). As much as we all love our high-level mains, being new to the game should not automatically put one at a disadvantage.
  • If a STF character is used, it cannot be respecced DURING a team's attempt of the map. That is, you cannot respec your STF inbetween rounds. Doing so may result in disqualification. However, feel free to respec if your team moves onto the second map.
  • That being said, there is NO cap on upkeep, nor is there any limit to MW items used! If you have it, and want to use it, use it!
  • And as a courtesy, please stay out of the server until it is your team's turn!
Failure to adhere to the rules may result in up to loss of a reward for a team player or the disqualification of a team. Stick to the rules and listen to the admin and you'll be fine.

Scoring
  • The team to get furthest on DTV Celtic Ruins wins the tournament! The team to get the next furthest gets second, and finally the team making it the third farthest gets third.
  • In the event that more than one team BEATS DTV Celtic Ruins, those teams will then each play on the next map, DTV Istinar. If this happens again, then each team left will play on the third map, DTV Desert Mountain. Given the relative difficulty of the maps, it is unlikely that any team will beat all three maps.
  • You MUST have an admin (that is not on your team) present during your team's attempt. For this,  the times that admins will be available for this will be posted!
  • Finally, protect that virgin!

PRIZES!
  • First place: 100MIL XP + Special Title + Free Heirloom Exchange!
  • Second place: 50MIL XP + 3 LP's
  • Third place: 25MIL XP + 1 LP
Each player on the team receives the award for their team's place

The tourney will be held on the 14th and 15th. This should be ample time to finish the attempts of the first map.
