Can the rotation be random, so we avoid people quitting instantly on map change because they know "that map" they dislike is coming next?

Or, we could have the same way Mercenaries Mod has. You can vote for map change and if %40 agrees, the map switches at the end of the round.

It's not already random? Holy shit, randomizing the rotation is the first thing you do in a mp game. Admins, you better check yourself before you rek yourself.

I've been playing a lil bit on CHN_1.
I think they have some interesting maps, we should maybe check through em' and find some new maps.

I agree, CHN does have interesting maps, but I think all the maps are nice. There will always be people who complain, even after change.

You don't. For any map that is already in the game files the only thing required to get it in the rotation is putting it in the map list in the server config file. You should probably just send a list of the following format to whoever is responsible these days:

add_map [name of .sco file]

i.e.
add_map tropical
add_map river_village
add_map waning_cold
and so on...

This is my map and I removed it in efforts to cut down the bland maps that add nothing to the playing experience, since the water gimmick is mostly avoided this map just functions as your standard "fight around a ruin" map.

Map rotation has always been randomized, the shuffle function is pretty wonky but this should not be possible, unless Dupre turned it off in one of the last patches.

Still, the rotation we currently have is a huge mess. We need nostalgia maps and new maps that wouldn't fuck the gameplay over.

I will add more maps to this proposal, tho this week I am a little busy to try some new stuff.

Lots of the best maps are off rotation. Rotation absolutely needs to be changed to include good maps.

Biggest issue there is the maps actually need proper names. Half of them are completely unmemorable.

Absolutely agree here, there are not enough indoor maps. Really spices things up for people playing the game a lot.
