You have been invited to a Feast at Kelredan Castle

To all the lords and ladies of this venerable NA Strategus Kingdom.

In honor of my succession to Marshall (stands atop the dead body of Bruttus, a knife protruding out of the stiff rotting cadavers back).

I would like to cordially invite all to Kelredan Castle to discuss the future of our realm and hopefully improve relations with all the great lords.

Recently our faction has seen great turmoil and instability and we wish to repair these unfortunate mistakes and misrepresentations of our people.

There are many things that remain a mystery to me still and we would love to hear tales of bravery and treachery.

As one of the great Masters of the Harem I can guarantee that the event will be catered with nothing but the best for you lords.

There will be no perverse donkey shows at this gathering and no attempts on your pride or lives.

(In order to R.P. join this event please state the following)
1) How your parties entrance is made
2) How you greet myself and my retinue
3) Any party gifts you may have brought me
4) Any other fun stuff you would like to do or say during the party
(I shall endevour to make this the most kickass RP party and respond to all guests in a timely manner in this thread, If anyone shows up on the strat map I would be so glad to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible)

1) How your parties entrance is made
I will literally enter Kelredan Castle by dropping all my gear and my troops.
Then I will make sure Bronto gives me some gownsand shit and I will attack Kelredan Castle at friday night (hopefully next weekend or even later, otherwise not enough time) so the festivities can begin saturday night.

2) How you greet myself and my retinue
I guess the only way to greet with the Warband mechanics is a happy [H]ello! and a hug.

3) Any party gifts you may have brought me
I could drop my beloved crossbow at your feet as a sign of peace?

4) Any other fun stuff you would like to do or say during the party
There could be a jousting event!
And bow shooting with prices.
Maybe even a boxing tournament.
And obviously a duelling ring.

That all requires a bit of silver. Not sure how much we have left after the war.
If anyone has a lot of silver, please get enough gowns, swords, donkeys, etc etc and attack Kelredan Castle yourself.
Would be kickass!

EDIT:
Would also buy some silver for gold at a reasonable rate in order to make this a success.

We would also need an admin to join in and be willing to kick/ban anyone not complying with the festivity-rules.

Oh omniscient Saxton. You obviously know everything and I totally hinted towards another war with my post.
But there are people, such as myself and the person this was meant for, such as Gryph, who know what I meant.
I dropped a joke on ts last night while talking with him and we had a good chuckle. So take it however you will, but I guess that was what one calls an inside joke.

The night had just begun and as I approached the great fortress of Kelredan Castle I could hear the merriment had already started. Accompanied by my long time banner man Lord General Admiral Swagathor we walked towards the gates. It was a fair spring night with hints of dew on the grass from rains earlier in the day time. The weather had cleared up by now and I could clearly see the starts of the twinkles of stars as the sun steadily fell. The smoke of a few fires could be seen above the walls, presumably being used to cook all the food that they were feasting on. My scouts had reported to me that the Dwarves had already arrived so they would need as much food as they could possibly make. As we arrived at the gate I heard the grumbling of my companion as he repeated his complaints from earlier.

"I still dont see why you are too cheap to buy any god damn donkeys. We could've been here in half the time, they're like 50% off in that one village anyways." he said, out of breath, as he adjusted his tabard over his armor and fixed his sword.

"We've been over this, they barely even give you a movement bonus if you compare them with Rounceys. Its totally more worthwhile to just spend the money I'd spend on donkeys on rounceys instead for the better movement speeds." I said as I smoothed my moustache over and took my helmet off, getting ready to announce myself to the guards.

"Yeah that would make sense if you actually bought Rounceys, instead you just spend all your money on more gear for your village and castle." Swagathor retorted.

"Hush now." I said somewhat annoyed. Raising my voice I shouted up to a guard who was looking down at us patiently from the gates. "Greetings good sir, my name is Tristan of Erzoth and this is my companion Lord General King Sentinel Rear Admiral of the Navy Swagathor, we have recieved invitation to a feast being given by the new Marshal of the realm Gryphter. May we have passage through the gates?"

The guard leaned over the wall and looked closely at us. "All weapons must be handed over at the gate, you'll get them when you leave. Try not to start any fights while you're in there." and the gate slowly started to rumble upwards. I started walking towards the gate while undoing my sword belt. Luckily I had left my trusty crossbow at home, would rather not let someone else get their grubby hands on them after all. As we entered the castle we were stopped by a guard who asked for our weapons. We both handed over our swords before he stepped aside to let us pass.

"Good sir, would you point me in the direction of your lord Gryphter? I wish to greet the man who threw together this feast for us all to enjoy."

"Eh? Yeah he's up there drinkin himself half to death with some dwarves. Go talk to him if ya wish" the guard said dismissively, obviously upset that he has to stand guard while all his colleagues are getting themselves drunk. I started to walk through the courtyard and up to the fire where I saw a mix of short dwarves and men dressed in crusaders garb drinking heavily and having themselves a merry time. Its hard to look at and imagine just a few days ago these fellows were trying to slit each others throats on the battle field. I approached and looked for the man called Gryphter. I remembered seeing him a few times a long time past when I worked more closely with Acre and he seemed like a good lad. Strange to think that now he leads the entire thing. As I approached the flame he stood up and walked over towards me.

"Tristan of Erzoth is it? Aye it is! Welcome to my feast! I hope the travel wasnt too hard on you?" he said while grasping my hand and shaking it heartily before doing the same to Swagathor.

"It was nothing too bad, just a short walk. We are neighbors after all" I replied with a smile and a small bow of respect. "This is my companion God General Rear Admiral of the Navy King Sentinel Ranger Captain of the Guard Champion Swagathor." Swagathor nodded at him with a grin. "Oh yes, by the way before I forget. Here is a gift I brought. It is a exotic ruby, the specialty craft of my castle. I had my best men work on cutting it for you, unfortunately I did not have the chance to do anything else with it." I said as I took it out of a pouch on my belt and handed it over. The ruby was a decent size, it fit snugly into Gryphters palm.

"Thank you kindly for this gift, I think I shall put it in the pommel of one of my blades." he said before handing it to one of his servents that are scurrying about to take back to his keep. "Now enjoy yourself, have a drink, eat some food, and most importantly have fun!" He said before going back to what he was doing before we approached, which upon closer examination seemed to be a drinking contest with HESKEYTIME. Swagathor said something about looking for a drink before wandering off in pursuit of it. Taking one last look around the feast I settled into a corner with some food before beginning to eat.

As Arys was scheming to keep stealing from Froyo the bundle of sticks Wizard who joined some gay Wizard clan, he received a message by a shitty raven. (The note given by this shitty raven that was obviously not even as well kept as ravens at the wall in game of thrones).

Oh sorry the entrance.

In the far distance of (shit castle) a figure appeared from the fog. He was a regular sized man on the top of what appeared to be a reliable information transportation device. A Sumpter Horse. This man, though curtailed by about 500 other true troubadours felt no ill will besides neckbeardery to the people inviting him.

As Arys the Grand Master of Investigative Neckbeardery and Tomfoolery, I moved forward, into the future, where the truth is born. He also moved forward in our corporeal world at the same time.

Oh I greet your retinue with disdain and discomfort. asking "are you the leftover retinue of bruttus?"

I have no gifts.

I don't yet trust you.

Leaning and swaying slightly against the ramparts atop the castle walls Gryphter gladly pondered the events thus far whilest urinating with great satisfaction into the darkness below. The fresh slightly chilled breeze was momentarily sobering.  Nodding to two grinning guards patrolling the catwalks, who had obviously been watching the events down in the courtyard instead of outside the walls, he made his way to one of the darkened paraphets that led back down to the festivities.

He passed through the portal into the poorly lit stairwell and suddenly his vision began to blur and darken. He grasped for the wall, crashing to his knees as the world began to spin out of control and fall away from him. Before he could even begin to fear his death a light emerged in an oddly open expanse of this eerie darkness. This made no sense. The light nearing slowly then began to form into something else, a man, in garb he had never before lain eyes upon. The awe inspiring vision looked down on Gryphter with obvious disdain and contempt.
"Are you the leftover retinue of bruttus? I have no gifts, I don't yet trust you" He stated.

Gryphter slowly stood up, upon a flat plane of darkness in a room or perhaps a world that surrounded him with nothing.
"I am what is left to lead my people; stating that we are what remains of that shattered creature shames us, we are trying to do right by this realm. Power and pride clouded his mind driving him mad; these things do not drive me." The figure looked back at him, obviously unmoved and scrutinizing him at a level he had never before experienced. "You gift me with your presence, trust is indeed a hard thing to come by in these lands."

Suddnely he awoke, a few of his men we're shaking him and laughing racously at the bottom of the stairwell. "Can't handle his dwarven spirits.  C'mon back to the party Ryfty, all the women are about to come on stage for the big show you planned."  He got up and started patting off all the dust and dirt on his clothing, the oddest thought just occurred to him; he was now completely sober, albeit mildly hungover and very hungry, as if he had slept through an entire night...

Walking back to the party with his men he felt numb and frightened. He sent his squire to fetch his newest most cherished possession, oddly enough for a man of increadible Wealth and power in these lands, a Mug, named Mr Lion, there was only one real way to deal with a hangover right? He had developed a taste for "First Call" a particularily potent potable that tickled his fancy fancy indeed.

He saw Lord Tristan standing on his own and decided it would be good idea to join him, glad to forget that odd series of events that had recently unfolded.
As they began to discuss politics, he couldnt help but remember how that Ruby had left his hand feeling numb. He sensed somewhere beyond the edges of normal human perception that there was something special about it. As the show began Tristans gaze began to divert and his mouth slowly started to hang down in awe. Perhaps they were not used to the exotic undulating dances taught to the concubines of the desert lords. Gryphter had some repute as a pimp, his girls handpicked from among the most beautiful and skilled of women. Even the dwarves momentarily stopped their rowdy brawl / drinking games to hoot and hollar and stare at the women.
A most peculiar beginning to this Feast indeed.

'Lord General King Sentinel Rear Admiral of the Navy Swagathor'  ROFL for long ass epic titles, they always make me chuckle and smile.

Just like in single player, I make it to the feast two days too late, am denied entrance to the royal keep, then on my way out of town am attacked by Deserters and captured for like three weeks.

Just like in single player, i beat the shit out of Boyar Meriga's massive army but he keeps coming with fuckall troops to try and raid my village so i can do nothing except defend my village cos every time i leave Boyar Meriga will turn up with 10 men and raze it to the ground.

DAMMIT MERIGA I ALREADY WON THIS FIGHT!!!!!!

Unrelated note, do you reckon Bruttus ever played singleplayer?

I made a random char to fuck around for strat (check castles, hint hint, and etc) with 5000 str and 500 ath. Its fun going mach 1 cutting people to ribbons. Hard as fuck to try and take a castle with 500 ath since you fly off castle walls. I have to hit shift which zooms in but forces your char to walk I guess. Its funny though.

I had a thing going in single player for PoP that I never finished. Maybe I should.. or just do native. Altho native is pretty easy compared to some of the other mods out there.
