I'm worried they won't use Donnie Yen properly. They had Iko Uwais and Yayan Ruhian from The Raid in The Force Awakens, but we didn't get any epic fight scenes out of that. It was essentially a cameo.

Lastly, take a look at the director and lead writer. The guy who brought us Godzilla and Monsters, and the guy who gave us...Cinderella. I'm guessing they're going to act like it's going to be an action movie, but it ends up being a bunch of people brooding all over the place.

I can hope, though. Boy can I hope. I hope it turns out to be Seven Samurai in Star Wars.

I just watched Monsters yesterday, I think it did a good job. Had quite a believable atmosphere about it. Godzilla was a decent action movie as well. Can't say much about Cinderella since I haven't seen that, but interesting choice.

Small female lead playing the ass-kicking-ninja-girl. Yawn. Looks about as convincing (that is to say, not) as the girl in Force Awakens who had no idea how to even move her body.

Don't think I've ever seen a convincing female lead in an action movie, they never come across as plausible. Not just the whole "she doesn't look/move at all like someone capable of kicking ass and taking names" but they also never project that kind of aura/personality. Lara Croft might be the closest, and that's probably because I haven't seen the movie in 15 years.
