A message to King Bryggan

Bryggan, you got my foot off to the wrong side to start this day.

(click to show/hide)

It is a dark night in the hills of the North
An old man slowly paces up to a fire as a host of the 13k rests from a war waged with the Horde

The 13k armed men begin to shift, unaware the man was even approaching

"Halt!" shouts the archer, Kitsu... Arrow knocked towards the old mans head.

-The old man chuckle-gurgles and a red froth billows from the corner of his mouth... There's blood all over him patched in different hues of red on his ragged clothes with a Golden 'X' like symbol dragging from his hip-

"I see the burning hate I've had for Hospitallers in you."
The old man continues to stagger forward towards the fire.
"Similar to what others experience with Kesh and now Daruvian and Sanderson."

-The old man sniffs at the air, as if this dry arid night had suddenly shifted... now standing next to the fire... His golden-red symbol now glowing in the fire with the face of demon screaming in rage protruding its tongue in a forked split-

-He points to Bryggan despite no introduction-

"I remember you, perhaps... You no longer remember me." the old man begins to sit... Blood seeping from his clothing.

With an almost puzzled look on his face the old man explains... "I am Fuji, or at least that's what I am told to be known as... I know these lands for many ages. Lives of another... Unfamiliar and blood-soaked."

"I have weathered the last stand Strategus ERA's (3) where no bonds of factional politics stood long enough to stagger the opposing foes... I have marched with an Empire fit to conquer the map only to defend it's core values and see a schism wide enough to drown out the powers of a clan (4). I have sat... Lusting for war... Blood... Death. On my own... On others... Only to have our faction pushed back and quit... Returning to their homes or joining other causes(5)"

With each sentence the old man begins to seem less withered... Less bent... Now standing and almost shouting as blood tremors from his clothing.

"And you dare reproach my agenda because I do what my GOD KHORNE DEMANDS!"

-He exhales as blood streams from his eyes, mouth and ears-

"I've come here because your words to me privately will be left unspoken. I've made no declarations and the notion that one mans presence changes your poise is unsettling."

He stares Bryggan in the eye.

"I offer you gold for your blood."
-smearing the blood across his face-
"If threats are your only offer; I will bring you war."
He turns. Looking back.
"Blood for the Blood God."

All that blood talk made sense, until you started hemorrhaging from every pore of your head. Good sir, I think you need a big band-aid.

I like to think this fuji character had a bit too much Chipotle but also had constipation simultaneously. With nowhere to go the fecal blood just started flowing out of every orifice after a couple hours. Regardless I give you 10/10 Gary Buseys. Phenomenal.

Bryggan, the half mad, stares Jaren in the eye.  Jaren tries to stare back, but cannot, for one of Bryggan's eye's is pointed downward, and the other is pointed upward.

"Jaren", he hisses, the follows with a mad cackle.

Jaren grips his sword hilt, but holds back when he decides to humour this fool.

"Did you ever chase the Dragon, Jaren?"  Bryggan almost sorta shrieked, "Cuz if you have, then you might have an inkling of what |have done.  Have you run through the forest, seeking its tail, but when you try to grab it, it fades away?!"  And then Bryggan broke into a maniacal laughter that ended up in a coughing fit.
"
When his hacking subsided, Bryggan continued.  "The more you win, the more you lose," he hissed, "I've seen it!  Yesterday's hero is today's Loser!"  And then Bryggan fell to the gound, clutching his ribs.  "It happens over and over again," he shrieked, "Do you ever wonder why the heroes of the last strat disappear?   It FUCKING DRIVES YOU MAD!"

Jaren kinda freaked out.  He drew his sword and held it at Bryggan's neck... but he could not follow through and finish the job.  As much as he despised this scoundrel, he felt he needed to hear the end of it.

"Kill me," pleaded Bryggan, "Kill me now!  My character has already done all he can do.  He has vassaled, he has merced, he has warred, he has become a king, he has become a high king, he has become an emperor... and he has gone mad... if he was ever sane in the first place.

"Kill me now... let me escape this horror that is Strat.  There is so much horror here... where a 1500 shiny army can die to a 300 lightly armed enemy due to the time... where one man can cap flags and kill a huge army... where rosters mean more than any dream of strategy... Yes, kill me now."  And Bryggan, with shiny eyes, dropped to his knees.

But Jaren, not normally a cruel man, did his worst and sheathed his sword and walked away.  "Let them reap where they have sown," he grumbled to himself.

Not to stir shit in any way-shape-or-form, but weren't you going to turn the desert into an ocean of blood and boldly attack anyone and everyone just for the love of warfare with no regard for fief ownership?

I noticed that GOBBLINS, BRD and HoC all settled the desert very early this round and have all been pretty exempt from Khorne's gift of blood so far. Mysteriously so...

Sadly the same happened when Knitler tried to make a 'Blood for the Blood God' faction over in EU in Strat 4, he was just Grey Order on the map under a different name and kept all the same allies and enemies

My Kawaii Desu Desu School Girl Ninja Death Squad was unbiased and pure.

Not to gloat or anything, actually fuck yeah I'm going to gloat I was the most successful solo faction in strat history.
