Lag issue resolved

Would put this in tech section but people dont look there much and this really messed me up.

Been playing with massive lag for a while, found out it was due to Windows activating "windows defender" as part of an update. This means you get constant crappy lags due to real time scanning. took me a while to figure out. I have a commercial anti virus anyway so its completely pointless for me.

Just thought I'd post this in case anyone else got messed up by microsoft updating shit even when everythings set for it not to happen

What nature of lag are you talking about? People walking through each other frequently or something else?

This is current crpg experience for me, with some sprinkled non-showing swings, phased blocks and just general lags. Long weapons help me enjoy it tho.

Freezing, getting hit without seeing a swing animation, rubber banding (where you walk forward then return to where you started from) and got disconnected from strat battles and EU 1 a few times. Made blocking really hard.

Played this afternoon after finding an entry on a forum about window defender being activated by updates then causing lags and seemed much smoother on EU1 once I turned off its real time scanning function.

May be coincidence, may not work for others but I was finding the lags were affecting my enjoyment.

On the topic of lags, 60-70 people online now, and i feel as if im on NA (100-140 ping) while mine sits on 60-70. When theres fewer players im on around 40-50 ping and its not unbearably laggy. Some other people have the same issue. Unplayable  :(
