No, but Molly is.  Heskey is just so lazy that he quotes everything instead of being selective.

There's not much more to say. Angry insecure defence of a format that makes no logical sense.

In the breakdown of any units you go from large-small or small-large because that's how we measure distance, time, whatever (whether metric, imperial, whatever). You wouldn't write a measurement in yards/inches/feet, you'd go yards/feet/inches. Well... if one American did it and a non-American criticised it then I'm sure you'd angrily and defensively talk about how much sense it makes.

Nice try to divert the argument.  In no way have I been angry.  That has been the characterization that you've tried to impart. You, on the other hand, have resorted to ad hominem attacks, a recognized cheap tactic of a weak debater.

What I have done is to explain the reason why the format is in use.  It's in use by rather more than one American, something you seem to fail to realize.  Whether it meets your particular standard of mathematical precision is completely immaterial.  It certainly worked well enough to arrive on Omaha beach and land a man on the moon on the correct dates.

Now I have been defensive because you have been offensive.  An asinine statement like (to paraphrase) "That's just another example of Americans doing something wrong and not admitting it." is clumsily offensive.
If you want to go down that road we could always examine why the British cling to adding extraneous and useless vowels to words and use backwards spelling just because some French of Viking descent showed up on the beach 950 years ago.  Most Americans would say it made zero sense to say armor but add in an extraneous u or to pronounce theater but mangle it by spelling it theatre.  The correct answer to that would be that it was custom, and tradition and that it worked well for the British, not that it was another example of what the British did wrong but won't admit.

Tell me Heskey, does it ever get cold up there on the moral high ground?

2/1/2016 is not digital, it is analog, just like clocks were before digital ones were developed.
Days are actually digital...
When west germany annexed east germany, nobody moved a finger too.

The date format is not digital.  Dates are actually serialized and thus can be mathematically manipulated.  That's why they can be used in a spread sheet like MS Excel.  Which interprets 2/1/2016 as February 1, 2016 with no problem at least in the program that is regionalized in the US, and allows math operations with dates.  In Europe the format of 1/2/2016 is accepted by the spread sheet.  The format of a date is merely a name, a tag, or a label.  It does not matter what that name is, a serial number is just associated with it and dates can be added, subtracted, etc.

Showing the breakdown of time using digits in direct numerical form, rather than just pointing at a calendar or saying 'February the 2nd'.

The high-ground's only relative, I'm not that high you're just really far beneath me. Reasonably temperate.

Two more examples of your faulty judgement.

Are you going to be admitting the nonsensical nature of British spelling anytime soon?

The numerical breakdown of units follows an order, and pattern. Not an illogical restructuring based on the order you sometimes choose to say it (newsflash, saying 'February the 2nd' isn't a uniquely American thing, writing the numerical breakdown of day/month/year in a non-sensical fashion is a uniquely American thing).

The spelling of words makes perfect sense based on the history and origin of those words. If the spelling of words changed every time a people decided to 'sound it out' using their own particular accent then most of 'murrica would spell 'water' as 'waader' (how many americans pronounce the 't'? And yet you still write it that way). What doesn't make sense is an American choosing to 'sound it out' for certain words and spell it 'right' but keep all of the other 'nonsensical' spellings that derive from our links with French-bros or have Germanic/Scandinavian origin.

News flash to you, the writing of the date in the form month, day, year is patently not nonsensical because 320 million people make perfect sense of it.  Focus on that statement.  Millions make sense of it, ergo it is sensible.  You still have not come to terms with that.  Just keep repeating it.  It may sink in eventually.
Putting the date in your preferred order confers no advantage to you and no disadvantage to Americans.

I haven't taken a poll but I imagine the majority of Americans pronounce the t in water.  I know I do.  I don't think you hear as many Americans as I do daily so your data is a bit questionable.

How many denizens of Liverpool, or Cockneys are able to produce the Queen's English?  I guess I could extrapolate their pronunciation to the whole of the limey population but only a shallow thinker and an ignoramus would do that.  So I'll just conclude that a certain portion of any population will mispronounce words.

I must say you sound quite angry and defensive about your antiquated spelling system.  I'm only trying to help you come to terms with your inadequacies and your attitude is not helping.

Google it.

Often order is unimportant.
eg. The humor of Pepe is lame or lame is the humor of Pepe.
The second phrase is more Yodaish but still conveys the same meaning.

Actually, the U.S version of sentence is " the lame of pepe is humor" it makes no sense.

play changing words place in this one :  "kittens cute are"

Best sentence wins a gift (new words allowed)
