Yeah, it is a level 38 build. I was 18-27 up until then, with 4IF and 4shield at 37 I think. Can definitely be nearly as effective at 35, only gonna be losing out on 1PS really.

What I came up with using the sort of basis  of your build, I had to cut down from 27 AGI or I wouldn't be able to have any stats, but I'm going to give this build a go and see if it works out, if not I'll tweak some more and improve from there.

If I were you I'd rather have the extra athletics above all else. It's more important than WM, and waaaay more important than 5 shield skill. Very few shields require 5 skill, I get by with 4 just fine.

Great stats to go regular polearm infantry without a shield if you feel like it. Even mid-round you might find a nice +3 weapon on the ground, go for it if you think it'll be more useful.

Mm, after trying the build out I don't think it works for me yet, or it may just be down to the fact that not all my gear is masterwork, giving me a massive disadvantage in the field, after the tournament match on Sunday I'll convert Caval to a hoplite using the Vanguard armoury, that ought to give me a lot wider choice in terms of gear.

It's also possibly down to the fact that I've had to skin the build down so much it's nowhere near as strong.

Could be because you're a lower level, obviously that has a large impact on its effectiveness. I also went 18-27 as opposed to 21-24 when a lower level, since you're so fragile either way that the added mobility adds a lot to your survivability compare to the 3 extra hp.

Why? I don't think you understand what 33p means relative to 28p.
